Are suits necessary now?For a corporation...nah. for a legal firm...yes.
If that is a recent picture I would go get something done with the hair....it looks a little unruly.Translation from Older Standard American to Young Hipster: "Cut your hair, hippie. and get off my lawn!"
You need to be neat, clean and present a confident demeanor during your interview.

I was just looking for a bit of advice on appearance, presentation, attitude, that sort of thing. Are suits necessary now?
I want to come across as well as I possibly can, as the interview is next week.
Thanks all.

From the article the pictures is of Gregory Foreman, age22, not Jason_A....
Great catch EagleKeeper.
I disagree.
If you're interviewing for a gig as a maintenance guy, then a suit is overkill. But for someone who aspires to do something associated with legal work, even as an intern, a suit is appropriate.
I would NEVER interview in anything less than a suit, but then again I'm not much of a maintenance guy.
Even then, I'd disagree. I wore a suit and tie to my interview. Always put your best foot forward. Even if I am going to "just" be wearing FR Carhartt for the rest of my life... :panic:
I'm not exactly sure what it is you do, other than deal with nuclear and electrical energy, but I'm not sure I'd put you in the "maintenance guy" category either...
My last two jobs after retiring from the Army went like this:
1) Goes to HS to enroll my two oldest retards. Get asked by pricipal if I'd like to sub sometime. Submits resume. Get call asking me to start full time five minutes after I leave the building. Tomorrow. At 8 am.
2) then: After dicking around all summer waiting for school to approve contracts (all of us were waiting the school board to get off ass) gets call from Police Chief. He has an opening do I want it. Ask to think about it over weekend. Do. Call back and say when do you want me to start. Tomorrow. At 6 am.
Niether job did I 'formally' apply for or interview for. Was unemployed after leaving the Army for 28.5 hours.

I'm still wondering what the purpose of the silly prank was.I think he had no idea how to appear conservative. Libs have stereotypes but never study their enemies.

We know and understand libs. We can imitate them, they cannot imitate us.

I disagree, don't Matter what job a male is interviewing for, a clean white shirt, a clean sports jacket, even a good pair of jeans and sneakers, clean finger nails filed short, a shave and a hair cut----- a good presentation to a potential employer be it as a mechanic or in a law firm.
The dress tells the story, a conservative with the upper half and a bit of liberal below the waist.
Does liberal below the waist mean your under ware is showing?
