Is Fox "News" on our public airwaves? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024081495)
I was told in another thread that Fox is only on cable, however when I was growing up Fox certainly was on channel 2 right along side the other networks.
If Fox is using our public airwaves to air any of their lies, someone needs to sue them for NOT serving the public interest and we can collectively pursue getting their license revoked.
Of course Fox is just the beginning of our problems, the others pretend to be liberal but are anything but, as they led the effort along side bush to attack Iraq.
But, it we went after Fox, perhaps the other 'news' stations will get a clue and start real investigative journalism again, or at least stop lying.
:lmao: :rotf:

1. Fox is the tip of the iceberg.
The way to silence Fox and all other right wing mainstream media is to destroy their business model. Make public affairs news tax exempt like churches with the caveat that tax exempt news outlets devote 15% of content to peer review/rebuttal and they have no other business interests outside public affairs news.
Problem solved with no messy court battles.
Arcane1 has to be the same one in the room, which is scary:

2. There is a Fox tv network that's broadcast, but Fox "News" is a cable channel.

That's why the trial lawyers love you guys so much, you're just so damned naive and stupid.

They want us silenced, and still claim we are the fascists. Even if anyone bothered to watch msnbc we still wouldn't want them silenced. The DUmmies want to talk about lies, yet what NBC did to Zimmerman is fine and dandy with them, then again Grayson also used creative editing and they worship his stupid ass. Not only do they accept lies, they seem to love bring lied to.

Hey DUmmie. I would love it if FOX only had 15% of it's content devoted to rebuttal. I can't stand all their left wingers.
As far as other business interests, you don't know how corporations work do you?
-
The way to silence Fox News is to prove them wrong and then few people would listen to them (think MSNBC here).

Society's downfall started when they allowed lawyers to do more to advertise for business than hang out a shingle for business.

Just figured out why all the Fox News bouncys and screams of impotence from the DUches. Fox News now more trusted on Obama Care than Obama or the democrat party are.
HAHAHAHAHA!!

Dense, is dense, but are you really this dense?
Why, yes you are..... :thatsright:

Heh...that's right. I read it, in passing, yesterday and forgot about it.
Sorry, idiots. Better luck never, retards.

Fox News is still on? I thought someone stopped that by hiding a remote or something.

Yep. The lawyers dominate the statehouse legislatures. I'm beginning to think the only solution is to maybe empanel legislatures like they they do juries. Probably would not work.
The only real thing that would work is to only make people that pay taxes eligible to vote. Never happen though.

Good one.
Fox is fair and balanced. Fox has lib commentators whose opinions are fully heard.
Fox reports, they let viewers decide.
None of the lib outlets do the equivalent of either.

List the lies DUmmies.
Oh wait, you can't.

Hey DUmmies, Fox News has leftists like Bob Beckel, Tamara Holder, Dennis Kucinich, etc.

I don't watch all that much, but I've never seen the Kootch on Fox.

I have seen him there. He also has gone on Hannity's radio show multiple times. Every now and then, he says something that matches his views, where he won't back down on a stance just because of whether or not someone with a D is involved (unlike the DUmmies).

Kooksanitch is crazy, but he does have a sense of honor. Rather unusual for a DUmmy. I think he truly believes the idiocy he spews rather than lying for the party.

Is this a smirk or a chortle?

I'LL TAKE IT.
Of COURSE, you will have to put up CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Al-Gore-zeera, MSNBC, PBS, and other networks to pass the same standard. You may find that Fox News will pass the censor unscathed as it exists now for the most part (Juan Williams and Shep Smith combined vouch for that), while your sites will have some serious 'splainin' to do to the "peer review/rebuttal" model.
OOOOOOO, you just meant "Faux" News. My bad.

Well we did get Bill Shultz off of Red Eye.

Well we did get Bill Shultz off of Red Eye.
And Alan Colmes off of Hannity.

My husband told me yesterday that he watching Fox in the afternoon (I don't tape that time period). That lunatic Tamara Holder was on with some GOP dude. Well, Tamara went off on a rant that was anti-Obama. Husband said she sounded positively conservative. Anybody hear about that? They didn't even have a debate. Nobody knew what to do.

Did Schultz leave? I don't watch Redeye all that often, but did notice he was gone the last couple of times I saw it.

Can you imagine the riot, if O'Reilly ran a segment similar to Newsbusters? :panic:
