Is "Obamacare collapse" Obama's Katrina... or the Right's Fitzmas? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024070134)
Many may remember back around this time in 2005, when Partick Fitzgerald was investigating the the exposure of Valerie Plame as a covert CIA operative, and many people in our virtual neighborhood were eagerly anticipating "Fitzmas", the indictment of Karl Rove and others in Club Shrub.
Nicked Scooter Libby, kinda, but all the biggest bad guys walked away unscathed.
The fizzle of Fitzmas left a lot of people with egg on their face, and a few with a whole truckload of eggs in the face-omlette.
I'm reminded of that anticipatory glee these days by what comes out of the infoxicated world.
I think the Fitzmas is on the other foot now.
I'm not even sure what this means for sure, I just like seeing "Fitzmas" posts. :-)

I think that they think that this will fizzle out.
Boy, are they going to be surprised! :fuelfire:

See the difference is that people are getting cancellation notices in their hands. They can sometimes get on the fiasco of a web site and then they get sticker shock. Nobody except stupid leftists gave two shits about Fitzmas.
ObamaCare is ****ing up people's lives. ObamaCare has caused everybody's premiums negatively. ObamaCare is going to kill tens of thousands of people, children most likely. ObamaCare is going to ruin the holiday retail season. ObamaCare is forcing people to take part time jobs. ObamaCare will and is killing the economy. ObamaCare is real and in the typical American's face, you know the 99%. IMHO, ObamaCare is going to kill the progressive agenda.

Everything else has fizzled out, so they could actually expect that this will too.
We will find out in 24 business hours what will happen.

Fitzmas can't hold a candle to Festivus.

I can't wait for the airing of the grievances.

I can't wait for the airing of the grievances.
Or the "feats" of strength. But in this case of Obamacare, I truly look forward to airing the grievances.

Um...you Dems are getting ****ed sideways by both Fitzmas (never happened) and 0bliviouscare (you have to pay something for it, and it will suck).
The only thing Republicans win from 0moroncare is the Senate in 2014 and the White House in 2016. Until we can repeal this retarded law that your savior can't even implement, we're all hosed.
But it WILL be repealed. And that thing Harry Reid did today? Well, undoing it might not be required, the way 0moroncare is going. Republicans may have 60 seats in the Senate JUST BECAUSE.
That laughter from your side sounds pretty nervous, idiots.

That's the difference, right there. Fitzmas really didn't affect anyone personally. Losing one's insurance and doctor (possibly) is a different story.

You want to know the difference, DUmmies?
About 2000 people died from Hurricane Katrina. Most of those deaths would have been avoidable had 1--the residents of NOLA heeded the warnings, 2--the public officials ("Chocolate City" Nagin, Landrieu, etc.,) ordered the evacuation sooner and 3--asked for federal assistance sooner than they did.
OBAMACARE, OTOH...WILL result in TENS, if not HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of deaths in just the first few years due to lack of care from people who simply couldn't afford it, or the death panels that said it's cheaper to send you home with a little pill than try to give you a few more years of quality existence.
Does that make sense, dipshits? We're looking at as many as 100 MILLION people losing their insurance in the next couple of years. The cure you put forth is orders of magnitude worse than the disease you thought you were fighting.
Oh, wait--it was never about healthcare for you. It was about CONTROL. No more, no less.

By the time most of the idiots at Skin's place realize it, it'll be too late for them.

It was too late almost four years ago.
-
I'm pretty sure that by this time next year the democrats and their press allies will have constructed a rationale to explain why all the catastrophic by-products of their medical insurance scheme are the fault of stingy, hateful republicans.

Well there is a difference dummy. People, real people, ordinary people, are getting cancellation notice in real time, not in 24 business hours. And there is a fairly large number of them. Large enough that the MSM is starting to worry about their ratings. And typical of the MSM... they will throw obumbles under the bus when it comes to their ratings.
No dummy. This is not your fitzmas or Katrina. This is much, much worse. Can't hide reality and reality has just hit a whole lot of people all over the country that probably were too busy to pay attention to national politics.
Now they are. Don't look good for your side. And if the wholesale cancellations come about next year like predicted, well your side is gonna take it in the rear hard with no vaseline.
I have no sympathy. People should pay attention. They didn't, now they are suffering the consequences. The GOP election ads are already written for the next 10 years.
