74% yes 26% no

Guess it's a slow news day for the cornhole set. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024069864)
I don't see the issue - the guy wants drug tests for welfare recipients, not for himself. I thought DUmmies were all for drug legalization, and employers have no right to infringe on the private lives of its employees?
DUmmies, help us out here.

If Gerry Studds didn't have to resign when he was caught banging underage male interns, I'm not going to get too crazy about Radel.
Never mind whichever Kennedy DUI'd himself into a stanchion on the way to the Capitol a few years ago.
And don't get me started on President Choom.

I don't care about any of this. This is between Radel and his constituents. If they want him gone, then we have a process to do that.

That's my feeling. Plus if he happened to be a democRAT, they would be making every excuse possible for him.

I sure hope this guy doesn't step down. Play it just like an evil democrat.

Looks like he's doing the right stuff, so I couldn't give a damn what he does. Between him, his family, and his constituents.
Half of DU if not more is addled on one drug another, so I don't see where they have room to talk.

Bob Beckel, on The Five on FNC last evening, defended Radel for 'doing the right thing' and seeking help. He was pretty strident about it, too. Surprised me.

You're right, Banned, sir.
Hell froze over, pigs flew.
As a hardened survivor of s-o-o-o-o many of Wills' posts, I'm sure this is the first one where he hasn't been gaycentric.

Unless, of course, the congressman has a secret that William769 is, um, sitting on.

The Dumbasses are are calling it "hypocrisy', but again they are misusing the word as they have so many times in the past. As far as I know, Radel has not applied for any welfare entitlements, and the purpose of drug testing legislation for welfare applicants is to cut down on fraud and waste of welfare funds, not to pass a moral judgement on drug abusers. What he did was illegal and foolish, but not hypocritical.

He should be sentenced to a stretch in federal penitentiary and thrown out of office. He's a self-admitted felon.
And there's no way a democrat can win in his district.
