Star Member Omaha Steve (37,337 posts)
Ed Schultz coffee cups are back in stock ($3 donated to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance)
I don't make a dime off this post. These cups are made in the USA. by craft persons that pay middle class taxes.
I have two of these Ed cups. I bought the last of the previous inventory a couple years ago. I'm glad to see these are now available again.

Handcrafted with Pride in the USA 16 oz. Safe for all foods, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, oven safe, lead-free, Proposition 65 compliant,
Color: Sunfire Red
$3.00 from the sale of every bag of Big Eddie's coffee and will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
DUmmies will fall for anything. Being pushed by Socialist Capitalist Steve Dawes.
I'd be willing to bet that Mr. "I know nothing" has at least a 300% profit margin on these things.
Does it look as if the mug is photoshopped on the flag? Probably couldn't find a US flag.
Only a few replies.

$21.95 for a coffee mug of Ed "Big Eddie" Schultz? I'll pass.

Why do you hate womenz charities?

That's all they are to you, aren't they, Steve? Human ATM machines, handing over their earnings so layabouts can lay about.
The graphics on the mug are hideous. I'll pass too.

Your tax dollars are paying for it anyway.

Hey there weeping neckbeard! Those "craft persons" didn't make that!

Closer to $30 when you actually add in that vaguely-stated shipping and handling charge. Corporatists at UPS or FedEx apparently make more off of it than the charity does, and Eddy still gets to take the full $3 per transaction out as a charitable contribution on his taxes and profit on the 'H' part of that 'S&H' charge. Good deal for him, not so much for anyone else involved...I'm sure he demanded a big price break on his order for the mugs, to boot.
-
Hey steve - wouldn't the charity gain more by sending the price of the coffee mug (+ shipping/handling) directly to that charity, claim the charitable donation on one's own income tax return (does not apply to DUmmies who don't have a tax burden but DO receive money in the form of Earned Income Tax Credit.)
Or, keep out a couple bucks, buy a coffee cup at WalMart, and then send the remainder to the charity. Win/Win! Charity gets money, I get a cup.

My husband works for FedEx, so that means some of those dollars will wind their way to a Freeper Teabagger Rethug such as myself. :-)

EX-cellent!
(Tapping finger together)
Didn't we used to have a Montgomery Burns smiley...? O-)

I'm not interested in paying to have a middle-class American make my mug. They charge $30 apiece!
I much prefer mugs from Guatemala or Cambodia. Exactly the same, except $25 cheaper.
Middle-class Americans have no business making coffee mugs.
They should be selling them, or importing them, or buying them.
-
Geez. This is MY cup, and I'm selling it for a lot less.
However, I"m NOT going to provide a link to buy it, because I respect site protocols with regard to restrictions on commercial advertising. My POINT is that ANYONE can throw up merchandise and say what they want to the masses.

Crazy Andrea sells OET mugs for sixteen bucks.
A couple of months ago, she sold one.
-
I know that he could donate 5 times his charitable amount per sale and still make a profit.
-
That has to rate as the ugliest mug I've ever seen. Who in his right mind would pay $22 for something I'd expect to find for 50 cents at a garage sale?

Frank knows the names but they are some at the DUngheap that make a living by garage sale thievery. If they bought it for .50, they would think that you ripped them off, screaming to holy heaven. They would offer .25 then resell it for 15.00. telling the potential buyer what a bargain it is.

Yeah, the grasswire primitive and the vindictive primitive, "Vinca."
They do that all the time, whining about having to pay ten bucks for something with a market "value" of twenty, and then bragging whenever they foist off some made-in-Red-China Dollar General ceramic as 19th-century French china (at the latter price, of course).
But all's not so well for them, ever since their Lord and Savior 0bama decreed that eBay has to issue form 1099s to sellers, so as to ensure they pay their fair share of income taxes on their windfall profits. It does seem to me they've started emphasizing garage sales and traveling flea markets more, and internet marketplaces less.
But it won't do them much good, because I'm sure :-) that the Internal Revenue Service monitors the eBay forum on Skins's island now, looking for tax cheats.

Wellshoot! I thought that cord was for the seat warmer.

In Ed Schultz's Amerika, you get no seat warmer on your gozunda*!
*Note to lurking DUmmies: "gozunda" is an old nickname for a thunder mug.
