Title: DUmmy has different idea of what a conversation is. Well, different than mine.

Do you ever read facts/perspectives on the DU that allow you to dominate conversations in real life?

It happens for me all the time, someone will say something really silly/stupid/uninformed, usually straight from the M$M, and I'll have the perfect line already written or found for me by a DUer and very often tuned and tempered by other DUers.

I've got quite a few people convinced I'm a good bit smarter than I actually am due to DU.

Thank you everyone whose words and ideas I borrow in order to try to make a slightly better world for us all. I really try to make help the people I talk to think about things from a little different perspective and I try to find words that talk to the ideas and facts rather than the person, the DU has been very helpful in all that.

So many things are a matter of perspective and that's one thing DU has a lot of, much of it rubs off on me. I've changed my mind about a lot of things since I've been on the DU although you probably wouldn't know it from my normal humble demeanor.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say I appreciate all of you, even and perhaps especially those I often disagree with, you make me think and I think that's a good think thing.
I think of a 'conversation' as an exchange of opinions, facts, and/or information.  From what I've read on DU, the DUmmies do not like different opinions, and when they are encountered attempt to 'dominate' or 'bully', or on DU itself, ban the offender. 'Domination' does not a conversation make.

As to the bolded part above - I don't think so.

Yep, that's what DU is known for the world over: their intelligent perspectives.  And my cat is known for his excellent speech giving skills. He doesn't even use a teleprompter.

Fartsucker, you are on the left side of the DUmmy bell curve. When your IQ test came back with an 86, you had a party because you thought you got a "B plus". You have the address to your group home tattooed on your forehead, so people can help you find your way home.

You certainly can't memorize the latest DUmbshit talking points and regurgitate them on demand. What you perceive as "dominating conversations" is good and decent people backing away from your spittle storm.

Just because they stop discussing the topic with you after you spew all over them, that does not mean you have convinced them, they now agree with you, or they think you are sane.

Yelling "Bu$hitler!!!!!!" is not dominating a conversation no matter how loud you yell it.

It's a safety thing.  You don't want to be in the same vicinity lest the cops in the bushes think you're one of them.
