Oh my.
Never mind the post; he's obviously planning on going way deeper into debt by purchasing a new motor vehicle he doesn't need and can't afford.
But this is his signature line:

Can someone put this into plain English?

Dennis the menace doesn't want us to laugh at him, and point him out to others. :lmao:
Why is it that dennis doesn't understand open forum on a public board?
You loose, dennis.

Here's your noncontinuous dennis ---> :bird:

Hey Dennis:
:rotf: :lmao: :rotf: :yahoo:

"Copying this post will result in nothing more than the author wasting his time looking for a lawyer to take his case"

Poor dennis must have the DUmp, quaking in their boots.
Not a single one, has hit reply for fear of violating his scary sounding warning.

I'll answer you, dennis.
No, I don't drive one. I don't drive Gubmint Motors, vehicles.
Hope that helps.

Gasp look what I just did!

Sounds to me like he thinks he's going to sue the pants off of every single person who quotes his post individually. He must have his eye on a new high-dollar bike that he can't afford.

Well, it's a shitty little government-designed crapwagon, but more to the point, why is someone who's planning suicide thinking about buying a new car?
It's just another item that will have to be liquidated at a loss to the creditors of his estate.
The whole idea makes Dennis sound pretty inconsiderate.
Any use of the pictures, descriptions, or accounts of this post without the express written consent of Major League Baseball is strictly prohibited.

Questions come to mind re Dennis' post.
If it is true that the government in some way has it's fingers in the 'internet control pie', and a person posts on a forum that does not restrict access (making it a public forum), maybe one cannot claim copyright for something in the government's internet pie/unrestricted open access forum.
"Suffice it to say" I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, but it was fun to type 'suffice it to say.'

Only a DUmmy...

1. No, sorry Dane, it doesn't work that way.
2. Denster the Molester clearly hasn't ever read the Copyright Office's pub or even FAQ covering 'Fair Use' on the Library of Congress website, or if he did, didn't understand any of it.

As you can tell, I really am not a lawyer. Oh, if only I had the vast training of the San Diego historian/journo/fencing master/etc.

Have you tried sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express? :???:

The funny thing is if you copy that line into Google, you get a link to every single one of his wacko posts at the DUmp.
-
You know, maybe Dennis the Menace doesn't like being quoted in the DUmpster.
But, as I've patiently explained s-o-o-o-o-o many times to the primitives, it's easier than strawberries-and-cream, to not get quoted in the DUmpster.
Just don't say anything stupid, and that pretty much guarantees one won't get quoted here.
Why is that so hard for the primitives to understand?

That fact might come in handy one day.
-
He must have a piss poor credit rating at this point, correct? I guess dealers will find a way to finance anyone and it doesn't sound like Dennis minds paying an APR of 650% as long as he can brag to his fellow DUmmies about having a new vehicle.
:thatsright:
-
Dennis the Menace appears to be lurking at this thread at the moment, although I'm not 100% confident it's him, only 95.75% confident.
Anyway, Dennis. Why is it so hard to understand?--just don't say anything stupid, and as far as the DUmpster's concerned, you don't even exist.
Think of your pal the CalPig primitive, for example.
Her good poetry's never brought to grief here; only her bad stuff.

Um, coach, I thought we were dragging the good stuff over. :banghead:

DAT nails Crazy Dennis to the wall here but there is another fun fact regarding 'Fair Use'
Full text here http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Uncopyrightable
Parody often constitutes fair use of copyrighted material. In cases involving parodies of copyrighted works, courts typically assess the purpose and intent involved in taking material from the original expression, and whether or not the author of the parody has borrowed a reasonable amount of material in producing the parody. For example, in the 1994 case of Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, 501 U.S. 569, 114 S. Ct. 1164, 127 L. Ed. 2d 500—which involved a parody by the rap group 2 Live Crew of the Roy Orbison song "Pretty Woman"—the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a parody could be fair use under copyright law even if it is created for commercial purposes.
Crazy Dennis fails...again. :loser:
-
That fact might come in handy one day.
He should sue Google.
-
He should sue Google.
It might help Den-Den if he knew some history.
"Fair use in parody and satire" has been defined since a law passed by the British parliament in 1709, during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714), and that definition over the years, decades, generations, centuries, passed on into American law.

Dennis is a lot more entertaining when he is in his depressive phases.

1. Personally
I think it's ugly, lol! I don't like any of the domestics, that's just me. I'd get a Mazda CX-5 if I had to get an SUV myself
Childfree by choice! Hopes the scrunt stays that way.
Finally, dennis gets a response.
-
Why is that so hard for the primitives to understand?
The question is its own answer.

Yo Dennis!!! There is no such word as "unconsented". That makes your cute little attempt at legalese null and void.
From dictionary.com (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/unconsented?s=t)
Moron.
Author's note: Copying this post in any format, be it print, electronic, verbal, or as yet any currently unknown format, is expressly desired by the author. In other words folks... post it all over the internet!!!!!! :cheersmate: :cheersmate:

Den-Den's still got only that one primitive response; I wonder if the warning discourages primitives from commenting.
-
That sigline of his isn't showing up to me. :???:
In any event, he's loco - his work is not "copywrited" in any sense of the word, and he's a Canadian citizen.

Ooops ma'am, but I beg to differ.
You're thinking of the locust primitive, who lives in British Columbia.
This is the Den-Den primitive, who lives in an affluent suburb of Detroit.

Detroit still has affluent suburbs? I would have figured that democratic urban policies would have swallowed and destroyed any such suburbs by now.

Oh, I always get those two confused, sorry. Now I see it:

No big deal; the primitives are easy to get mixed up.
Which reminds me. The nominating thread for the top DUmmies of 2013 will be posted exactly 168 hours from now (but nominations can't be made for another 72 hours after that).
If one's in doubt about the identity of a primitive, feel free on the nominating thread to inquire.

I seem to recall some DUmmy long ago started to put a copyright date on all his posts, and we being the smart asses we always are, did the same thing at CU.

Hey Denninmi --
Your stunt is Null & Void. You post at DU, your posts are for public consumption. Here is the relevent passage from DU's privacy terms. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=privacy

Unless this fool is submitting each individual post to the Copyright Office (along with the appropriate filing fee), that silly notice doesn't do a damn thing. Also, editing a copyrighted work and not following up with a new copyright application (with the appropriate fee) renders the original copyright invalid in relation to the newly edited work.
But I think most of you overlooked the more significant part of his statement, that copying his posts constitutes uninvited contact, "harassment" and/or "stalking".
Both are bullshit and deserve to be mocked liberally.
-
Detroit still has affluent suburbs? I would have figured that democratic urban policies would have swallowed and destroyed any such suburbs by now.
Detroit has suburbs every bit as affluent as the swankiest enclaves around Los Angeles.
Not just big money, huge money.
Crazy Dennis is an addled paralegal, not an upper class Detroiter.
Like nearly all white Detroiters, he lives in a place nice enough to exclude 0bamaites, but he could never live in one of the better Detroit burbs.
Any use of the pictures, descriptions, or accounts of this post without the express written consent of Major League Baseball is strictly prohibited.

Dennis is manic because Doug The Walrus appears to have pulled ahead for DOTY, so Dennis the Manic did something stupid to regain lost ground.
If we were talking about DUmmy stock car racing, I would say Dennis just downshifted and pulled to the right to try and pass.
ETA: Any use of the individual words in this post shall constitute a violation of the Mann Act, and will be reported to the World Court for actionableness.

You are correct. Sometimes I forget that not everyone on the internet have fully functioning brains. -Ones capable of separating fact from fiction, and reality from fantasy. I suppose there will soon be a gaggle of Teenage Mutant Ninja Lawyers banging on my door compliments of Denninmi. :panic:
