Here's a story that might do the trick! I am a memeber of an on-line community that has a memeber who's daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia 4 1/2 yrd ago, at 18 nths old. She did 2 yrs of chemo, but unfortunately relapsed after just 2 mths off treatment. Another 2 years of chemo (and cranial radiation) ensued. Yesterday she turned 6 years old! Today was her last day of chemo!!! Shes' is the cutest darn kid you'd ever hope to see!!
(anyone in NE, who has frequented Taco Bell...the DanaFarber kid on the ads there....that's her!)
I'm saying a toast to her tonight, and also a prayer that this is IT...no more cancer, no relapses!! :cheersmate:

That's excellent news, Flame. Thank you for posting that. :) A great pick-me-up, indeed, and a reminder that kids are tougher than some might think (reminds me of a childhood friend, Kari, who had the same kind of cancer very early on. I'd always wondered why she hardly attended class, and when she did, she was on crutches, as the cancer was in her leg. She refused to use a wheelchair. My mom waited until I was 8 or so to tell me what was going on. Took awhile, but she's been in remission for about 10 years now. :) )

Well, by pick-me-up I was expecting something at least eighty proof, but that's definitely a great story nonetheless!

It's great to hear something uplifting. God bless this little fighter.
