My "Obamacare" nightmare is almost over .... I am about to get new Health Insurance which I ..
..... found out because I logged on and used the healthcare.gov web site. (it worked perfectly for me )
My monthly insurance cost for myself and my son will go from $650.00
to just under $400.00
My deductible will go from $5,000 to $0.00
We will go from no coverage of dental, vision, and hearing to having it all covered
except i will have to pay 50% on dental.
We will have much better RX coverage.
We will have no pre-existing condition limits.
We will have unlimited check ups paid for @ a Dr.'s office w/ no co pay.
We will have much better hospital, surgery, specialist, and E.R. benefits.
And when I die (no current plans to do so) my family will have $10,000 to burn my bones.

******
It is now clear why the republicans, the insurance companies, and the Koch Brothers were
fighting the ACA so hard because it will work, it will be popular, and it very well might be
a good start on a single payer national health system.
Barry Odumbo is sooooooo smart!

5. I just looked at the benefits.

Choosing Plan 2 as a median.
Just these three items--often the BIG ones..
ICU - $500 daily for up to 5 days
ER - $150 1 day per year
Surgery - $20 - $2000 -up to 3 surgeries/year.
If I am reading the benefits correctly- if anything serious happens you are in big trouble.
ICU will be way over $500/day.
ER- I don't know of any ER service that costs that little. If you are in a car accident? BIG bucks..
Surgery - $20 ! even $2000! I had spinal surgery last year-- $40,000+. ( I have Medicare)
Even Plan 4 is barely any better and you pay a LOT more for it.
Please tell me I am misreading this, for your sake.
ON EDIT: I am assuming the premiums, "dues," are monthly. But even if they are yearly, not much coverage.
Uh oh

7. the coverage is much better then that.
example I will have a $100 deductible expense for a trip to the ER but that
will be waved if I am admitted to the hospital.
I believe!!!!

10. OK, so they waive your deductible if admitted. But their benefit is only $250 per day in
the hospital, whereas average cost across the US is $2000 per day. You'll still be on the hook for $1750 per day, and limited to 30 days at that.
Likewise, anesthesia is covered at 25%. Did you know that this can be as much as $10,000?
You'll go bankrupt under this plan if anything actually happens to you.
Please tell me I'm completely getting this wrong, as I would hate to see someone sold such a crappy policy.
But it is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

12. Upon closer examination, this site doesn't appear to have anything to do with the ACA.
The Healthcare.gov site should not have even directed you there. This is a small network insurer for self-employed contractors that doesn't even begin to meet the requirements of the ACA. I was offered one of these when I was contracting a few years ago. Their coverage is a joke.
I fear you may have gotten swindled.
You mean junk insurance from Ocare? :o
These people deserve to suffer.

The good news is, they won't have to worry about paying for surgeries, DR Obama will give them a pain pill and send them home.

Dummy Botany is covering her ears and going "lalalalalalalalalalalalalalala!"

26. I just talked to a rep on the phone and she was very very vague about somethings
..... well I still have my crappy and expensive old policy and I'll keep
looking.
thanx!
Too bad. Unaffordable Care Act success stories are so few and far between. Botany had such high hopes and the other DUmmies in the thread seem very hungry for some good BarryCare news to tout. Better luck next time, Dummy Botany--not really, I hope you suffer, DUmmy.

Dummy Botany is covering her ears and going "lalalalalalalalalalalalalalala!"
That is the primary method of debate used by all leftists.

I was thinking Botany was a shill who was bouncying up an anecdote for others to join in a "ain't owebumacare great" anecdote pool chorus.

I don't. He wandered onto one of the many phony sites set up to scam morons. But, what I don't understand is how a DUmmie (the smartest people in the world) could fall for such an obvious ripoff. Well I guess, after all the BS democratics have been slinging, a true believer (moron) could fall for it.
Edit to add; I hope Bottomly gave them his credit card number along with all of his other personal information.

"There's a sucker born every minute." It oughta be the official motto of the DemonRat Party.

To be honestly fair to the DUmp. (which I shouldn't)
Many did point out the scam, and perhaps persuaded s/h/it, to drop.
I only wish hardship and grief on the DUmpmonkeys, in a person way, and not upon those near and dear to them that do not subscribe to socialist/liberal thought.

I don't even know if there's even one. Any that the DUmp posts, I assume are bouncies.
What a mess. And there's even stupider people out there besides the DUmmies, who are going to be scammed, ripped off, and swindled. And have their identity stolen.

At least a few thousand as of the government numbers yesterday!

And now we have congressional and senate democrats trying to save their asses from the election of 2014 with some sort of bill to try to get back those plans that have been canceled. Are they that stupid? Those policies aren't coming back just because they pass some bill to say they must be reinstated.
What a big freaking cluster**** these idiotic democrats have caused. We are so screwed, but they will probably be re-elected because at least they tried, right?
Damn low information voters, and many of them are members of the DU.

True, the only way those policies will come back is IF Barrycare is repealed, not delayed, not defunded, not deferred, REPEALED!

Hey Botany, when they said "catastrophic", they meant it.

My friend whose 23-year-old son has brain cancer says Obamacare is great for her son because he'll never be turned down because of his pre-existing condition.
My question to her (thinking out loud only) is at what cost will that insurance be to him? I would be worried the monthly premium would be the same or more as a house payment. As he grows older (he is doing very well at this point) and perhaps has a successful career, isn't it possible the cost of his premium will preclude him from ever being able to afford a house, kids, wife, etc.? If he gets subsidies, what incentive does he have to use his God-given talents to be a productive member of society?
These are questions no DUmmie seems to ask, or even seems to care about.
-
These are the same libs who get suckered into investing in the latest AlGore scam every time it comes along.

His premium will be the same as yours.
It's unfair to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions, so low-risk people have to divvy up the cost of insuring high-risk people.
That's one of the main points of this democrat scheme.

Wonder how long it will take for them to do this to car insurance. It's not fair that people who don't get tickets, don't have wrecks, and don't file claims don't pay their fair share. The people with a lead foot shouldn't have to shoulder the burden of higher premiums. It's also not fair that if your car is paid for, you only have to carry liability. Shouldn't we get rid of the junk policies that people have for 20 year old cars that don't offer full coverage?
