It is 36 degrees, The ground is far too warm...and NO predictions for a snowstorm were given at all!!!!!
The snow is coming down fast and furious. A strong wind is tossing the flakes about. If it was colder we might be seeing blizzard conditions.
Still, its gonna be 17 degrees tonight. The weatherman give a 20% chance of snow. Of course the weatherman hasn't a farkin clue. So I'm likely to see three feet on the ground as nadin measures it.
I'M NOT DONE WITH SUMMER YET! Curse you Red Barron!
Mannn does not like snow. Snow bad. Fire good. Need wife to make dinner.

Al Gore's fault.

Sorry to hear it. It seems you were posting about snow a couple of months ago. How many months a year does it snow there?
-
Weather girl says there's a slim chance we may get snow here tomorrow night.....she's just covering her ass. If it does come, it'll be gone by lunchtime.
Back in the mid eighties I was working Thanksgiving day and it snowed about an inch.....snowballs, not snow flakes. They hurt when they hit you.
-
Our forecast is calling for rain tonight changing to snow with lows in the low 20's.

I don't think I did.
I live in Iowa. Just inside the arctic circle. Barely snowed at all last year. that's the way I like it.
as for the freakin snow it's beginning to stick. and its wet so my windshield is already coated in ICE.
An hour ago the report said a half inch of snow...NOW its reported to be an inch expected. That will likely climb as the day wears on.
I am so gonna kick Al Gore's a$$.
-
I heard , we are supposed to be getting snow showers.. ugga!!!
-
We had a couple of snow squalls last week. Nothing stuck for long.
Then again, we were predicted to have an inch on the ground this morning. Not even a flake, not even a drop of rain.
Screw the NWS. Globall warming, my ass.
-
No snow here on the roof of Nebraska, although it'd been forecast for yesterday. It just didn't happen.
However, it's 7 degrees and windy.
A one-day cold snap; temperatures are supposed to be back in the 40s tomorrow (Wednesday), and the 50s the rest of the week.
-
We got our first white morning this morning. Not too much, but it definitely looks wintry. What nasty weather yesterday. Cold, driving rain, windy, dark, just awful.

I hate you Al Gore. May 2nd and it's snowing. (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,86754.msg1076958.html#msg1076958)

Every time I whine about moving back to St Louis, post like this bring me back to reality. W're supposed to have a cold front come through, but they have been predicting it for some time. Gasp, the low might get to the 50's. It's been in the 70's and 80's for the last month or so. I still haven't had to wear even a long sleeved shirt. (SR used to do this to me when I was living in St Louis and he ws in Florida, sorry don't want to be like that, but he tweaked me deliberately, I'm just stating some facts). :-)
-
37 degrees... we had snow flurries this morning.
Ain't nobody got time fo dat.
-
no snow for us yet!!! :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:
-
We had snow for about 2 hours this morning -- nothing stuck, thankfully. :panic: Just enough to make the morons drive even more like morons!
-
Well for those, who have it in abundance, Stop Hogging all the snow!!! :hammer:

Nothing stuck here, don't even think it was measurable. But I'll be happy to export the snow it when it arrives! :-)

13 degrees driving to work this morning. 16 degrees tomorrow. :thatsright:
Why did I leave Phoenix?!!

You can have my share. :-) :-)
One thing that I don't miss is snow. My old company was located in the City of St Louis, the part that ddn't have their streets plowed. I always developed the flu or something if the snow was deep, just couldn't cope getting stuck.

There was a "tease" earlier today on the radio about snow here. But you know what is said about Texas winters. Chili today - hot tamale.
-
Hard freeze forecast for tonight in our area. 23 degrees F.
-
I had to drive through Lake Placid yesterday to get to Malone NY. Snowing pretty good in Placid. It made the roads slick, and I barely got to the first appointment on time. Got to the second one an hour early, though . . . :whistling: and took US-11 to I-87 home. I didn't want to have to deal with that shit again.
-
27º overnight, 31º this morning. At least it will kill off all the bugs.
I'm glad it's cold but it seems a little early.
-
Don't know what Y'all are talking about. Beautiful sunny day here in South Texas.

Yes it is. I did have to put a jacket on this morning.
Got down to 40 or something.
Still waiting for the leaves to fall off the trees.

Any time I hear of Lake Placid, I think of giant crocodiles eating people.
Is it safe to assume that such attacks are not as common in winter?

The winter olympics were held there. Maybe crocodile eating could be a new olympic sport.
Speaking of crocodile, there is a vicious designer drug by that name from Russia that is working it's way into our country.

This is true--it's made with gasoline. Not the sort of thing anyone should be shooting into their veins.

^^ I know, gross.
At about noon, we had those pleasant little ice balls, the ones that hit you in the head going about 500 MPH. High winds. Nasty. Would have been a good day to stay in bed. We'll probably have a snowy week.
-
Still no snow!!..... :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:
-
80 degrees here yesterday...tied the record...eagerly awaiting all the midday glow-bull warming NEWS stories.
-
Winter weather advisory from 3:30 to midnight. A wintry mix expected, but no accumulation of snow. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
-
Temps are well below average for this time of year in St. Louis area.
-
Des Moines: FREEZING RAIN! ICE, Slick roads. From 2pm till 10 PM. Then it turns to SNOW.
I took tomorrow off: no driving on ice for the Mannn. Barely made it home alive.
They said only about an inch of snow, but the weathermen here have no freakin clue. Today was supposed to be 40 for a high, but at 2PM, it was 30. and it only goes down from there.
---so ya know I'll be snowed in for sure.
a Yeti was sighted at the Mall. We're all dead men, I tell ya!
-
I'd rather deal with a foot of snow than an inch of ice.

You speak in rather well endowed NH terms !

We still do not have snow!! :bawl: :argh: They keep teasing us with it, however....

I am kind of surprised that we who live in the snow belts do not take a page out of how the Alaskans handle it.
My Jeep has a plug in system to keep the oil warm at sub zero temperatures but there are no electric outlets for people that must park their cars for 10-12 hours a day at -20.
One year in VA. of all places the schools had to close for a few days as the buses would not start.
Door locks freeze and my car had to be warmed up for 30+ MINITES just to get the drivers door to close.
All the salt used to melt the ice does the job on autos and trucks even when they have a protective undercoating.
How do the Alaskan's keep a moving in their climate, All those months of the dark means head lights must be on 24/7 using up battery power. Getting a flat tire out there in -20 degree temperature can be interesting if one is trying to change a tire and a Polar Bear comes around curious as to what you are doing.
Still we who live down under and have just a couple months to put up with miserable conditions never seem to know how to learn.
