http://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2013/11/07/memo-to-peta-go-f-yourselves-a/

Snips:
"In the name of saving animals, they are deliberately trying to traumatize little kids. They are putting up anti-turkey-dinner ads in bus stops, you see: ads that show grownups a Rockwell-ish image of a mom carving a bird, and that show anyone shorter than four feet tall a demonic woman murdering a live bird, and spattering her kids’ faces with blood."

"Of all the despicable, abusive, and idiotic things to do. Do the stupid-f***s at PETA think that little children do the grocery shopping in American households? Anyone on Planet Consensus Reality knows better."

More at the link. Jesus ****ing Christ on toast. These assholes at PETA need an attitude adjustment.

6. What?

You think this hurts my feelings? Guess what, I've already hunted and killed and dressed our turkey for Thanksgiving, I have no remorse doing so either, if that makes me an asshole in your eyes, so be it, I'm an asshole, but I'll be a well fed asshole this Thanksgiving, as will be the rest of my family.

2. Yeh, that's a shame

Kids finding out what they're eating comes at the expense of killing helpless animals. Terrible.

5. It's just a stupid, nasty thing to do.

we're talking about kids who are really little- like 3 to 8 on average.

and it does nothing but piss people off.

this is all about PETA doing anything for publicity. and they don't give a **** if it's negative publicity and hurts the cause they purport to care about.

To be fair, another DUmp thread (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023996406) essentially trashes this advertisement.

Hey HerpaDerp, ever seen what happens in the animal kingdom in the wild? Lemme guess, we should be buying our meat from the grocery store where it's made.  :whatever:

You mofuggas need to huddle up or something. Hunting's good, food processing plants bad, free range chicken good, hunting bad, damn, no one knows what they **** you're talking about anymore. We're not supposed to eat meat, just plants, but then plants have feelings to.....

Just what the hell are we supposed to eat? Air?

When you look at the ugly violent advertisements and their writings, you can see them cinching a plastic bag over their enemies heads and masturbating while they squirm.

Maybe we should have a Thanksgiving scene about a father and a mother two mothers or two fathers carving a squash, perhaps with aborted babies in all the kid's seats with the horrific expressions fetus' show.

This I like.  Herpavore crying over a dead turkey but would fight you to the death over her right to crush an unborn baby's skull and throw it in the dumpster.

They are putting them up at bus stops to frighten low income, minority children.

I think kids should know where their food comes from.  Start em young and there isn't anything PETA can do to traumatize them.

I used to help my grandmother by plucking the headless chickens  she just decapitated. I was little and thought nothing of it.

I used to laugh at a friend of mine's GF that was into the whole PETA B.S. She used to spout "I won't eat anything with a face". I'd just tell her, " Just cut it off then".

Eff these morons.

If you haven't plucked one that's been dipped in boiling water to loosen the feathers, you're in for a treat.  :rotf:
The only trauma I saw, was my little brother running from a freshly headless chicken.  He made funny noises.
