Washington city votes to raise minimum wage to $15

It's a good day for low-wage workers in New Jersey and the city of SeaTac, Wash., after residents on Tuesday favored ballot measures that will raise the minimum wage.

The SeaTac initiative will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour for hospitality and transportation workers in and near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The current minimum wage in Washington State is $9.19.

With all precincts counted, the 'Yes' vote was leading by 54% to 46%, but opponents say it is still too close to call. There are still uncounted votes, due to Washington's mail-in voting system.

And once that causes cost of living to go up, thus making that raise meaningless...

Then what?

I wouldn't work in that area if they paid $50 an hour.  I stayed at a hotel there a few years ago for one night.  Gangbangers and drug dealers abounded.  We moved to Bellevue the next morning.  The place is a cesspool.

I think this is just a ploy to get more people on food stamps and unemployment.

Democrats love people dependent on government.  :censored:

Thus making this the most expensive city in the US to live in. :banghead:

They destroy every city where they reside.  After doing so, they flee and destroy another city.  The funny part is that they're not smart enough to figure out they're the ones that are doing the destruction.  They seem to be incapable of learning.   :shortbus:
