If I understand correctly, in order to purchase a firearm in most places, at least from a dealer, you have to present ID to prove who you are and be subjected to a background check that supposedly determines things like whether or not you have mental issues.
Maybe I’m wrong about the above. Correct me if I am.
A bullet fired from the firearm, while dangerous, only has a limited range. For instance, a person (or even a group of people) who fires a firearm in Oregon can not harm a person in Texas.
Voting, on the other hand, is a completely different matter. A person voting in Oregon can indeed harm a person in Texas.
With that in mind, which should require an ID to prove your identity and a background check?

Throw motor voter and owebumacare into the mix. Both will register new voters, and have no real safeguards on preventing illegals from registering.
