DUmmy cynatnite reveals a talent for bouncy tale writing that rivals that of rsmithnumbers.
But despite one of the most ludicrous "quotes" in recent DUmp history, to maintain their DUmp cred DUmmies must claim unswerving belief in the truth of the bouncy.
When DUmmies react to a silly bouncy like this one, they sound like pre-teen WWF fans marveling over the exploits of their favorite steroid-freak pro wrestler:

My amazing daughter's response to someone who called Obama "Osama Obama"...
"Opinions may suck, but being that degrading of another human being is sick and in a way, bullying. You can not like him, what he's done, what he stands for, but to degrade a human being like that? It is unnecessary and uncalled for. State your opinion and beliefs all you want. That isn't an issue. But to be like that about another human? It isn't any wonder why we have bullying issues with children these days as bad as we do, they learn from the adults"
I've got a great kid!

We're reminded once again of twelve-year-old Amy Carter's deep concerns about nuclear proliferation.

Wonderful job. Most DUmp democrats only see their kids every other weekend.

10. Does that apply to everyone that calls people names unnecessarily?
Like people who also equate Bush with Hitler, or Cheney to whoever, etc?

14. I don't know
I see a lot of those sorts of insults on this message board. I'm guessing posted by adults. I'm just asking if it wasn't a Teabagger, involving Obama, and Osama, but instead a liberal, involving Bush and Hitler, would someone go out of their way to tell us about their kid's amazing anti-bullying response to those insults?
Yes, it was an amazing response alright. Absolutely amazing.

17. It's not something I. or a good many of us do.
Is it something you like to do? You're making an assumption about the OP. That kid is amazing, and I would hardly call it "going out of one's way." Your response however...
Yep, amazing. And the quote is reminiscent of the drunken alcoholic Pitt quoting Ty the Bouncer.

and he had a Stop Obama's Jihad sign on the back of his truck. He will not get the job, I can promise you that. But it would have been nice to have your daughter tell him what's what.

23. Interesting that you would do the same thing.
Calling someone a "teabagger" is doing the exact thing you're (rightly) applauding your daughter for standing up against...degrading another person for their opinions by using a disparaging sexual reference about them.

We need NEW nicknames for Bush.

Since it looks like we're in this nightmare for the long haul, we need to come up with some creative new names for this horrible little dictator. The simple * doesn't really apply anymore, as the history books may very well record his re-election as a legitimate win. Chimpy is getting old, and it's an insult to envrionment-loving chimpanzees everywhere. The other various ones we use will also grow stale before long, and if you're like me, simply typing Bush makes you physically ill.
So let's use this as a testing ground for some new monikers. Bonus points will be awarded for vulgarity.

Bouncy tip for lurking DUmmies: After you write a quote, say it out loud. If it doesn't sound real, don't try to pass it off as real.
This just sucked.

Calling Bush names was patriotic dissent, calling Obama names is racism.

23. As a news editor, my profession requires that I weed out the fiction from the factual stories
This story has a contrived feel to it. It portrays a Democrat as having "tail between my legs". The jump in co-pay appears unreasonably high. It would make more sense if only the premiums went higher. The sentence "His agitated voice wavered a bit..." is melodramatic. He doesn't reveal the name of the insurance company, and the ending to the post is overly saccharine.
Finally, the portrayal is subtle, but much more positive for the RW friend (hardworking, new father, facing challenges bravely, etc.). By portraying himself as a person whom others have swayed because DU readers are, "way smarter than me", he brings forth doubts about his own beliefs and a sense that those who support healthcare reform are being manipulative.
I dropped the "bomb", as you say, because that's how I see it.
Thread killer. :rotf:
