dammit I wish I could remember what I learn here (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023956741)

So I can respond to conservative bullshit.

I was just getting home from work and my neighbor haaaad to talk politics, cuz of the political flyers in my mail.

I said I didn't want to discuss politics, but he kept at it snd I couldn't stick to my statement.

So according to him, they're all the same, Obamacare was shoved down our throats and no one is refused care at hospitals.

I said what I could but I don't watch news, only listen to music radio and don't read the local newspapers. So I don't have the soundbites that stick in your mind.

Acch. Just pisses me off that I couldn't whip out facts, statistics and the other great stuff I learn here. He didn't believe that anyone dies and he also beleives that the homeless and mentalky ill are going to be fined. And that the only people helped are kids who are already covered under their parents' insurance.

Now I remember that it was Obama that passed that legislation to cover kids till they're 26... but see? When I've got someone spewing idiocy at me, I can't bring to mind what I need.

Sigh. Thanks gang....
I just had to vent. Grrrrrr.

Just a set-up for future bouncies at the think-tank (or septic tank) that is the DUmp.

Well, there you have it. The easiest thing to remember is the truth. Lies, distortions, half-truths, equivocations, tantrums, misdirections, ad hominems, and bloviations that DU is fond of? Those ARE probably hard to keep track of.

This is pitiful.  It's not like they don't keep the daily talking points simple so the useful idiots can spout them.  This one needs re-training STAT.

How hard could it be:

1. It's the republicans fault.
2. It's the Tea party's fault.
3. It's Bush's fault.
4. RACIST!

BlancheSplanchnik must be "mentalky ill", between bouts of mental constipation, and verbal diarrhea.

1. I sympathize. I often find my self incoherent

in the face of conservative crap.

Quite frankly, you don't need soundbites that stick. That's exactly what people like your neighbor have. If possible, you might want to take up listening to Amy Goodman's Democracy Now show. Perhaps you have a public or community radio station that carries it. If not, here's her website: http://www.democracynow.org/

Also, if possible, watch some one of the MSNBC evening news shows. For me it's Rachel Maddow, but there are others. Trust me, inside of two weeks you'll be better informed than you could have imagined, and you'll mostly miss all of the nonsense and non news that's out there.

If what the DUmmie said is true, it should do what any other DUmmies do if they encounter a conservative: retreat and create a story about what you wished had happened and post it on DU as the truth.

Well then, prepare to get your ass handed to you as everything posted at the toxic waste (D)Ump has been factually refuted on numerous occasions.  If the neighbor has any real awareness of the issues; you probably better just stew in the frustration of your faulty worldview and either learn or just stand there and make faces.

It sounds like it can be frustrating to step out of the DU echo chamber and out into the real world.

It's funny how the smartest people ever can't even debate a knuckle dragging freeper without running to the DUmp for talking points. I'm also amazed that this DUmmy can't even recall all the bumper sticker slogans that the left relies on. It's not like there are any facts to recall. Pretty much all they need to say is it's all the fault of republicans and the person they are debating is a racist, seems simple enough to me.

All it had to do was scream racist over and over.

You should go to a real psychotherapist instead of using the one that comes in the 750 ml bottle, and those DIY shock treatments at your cousin's HVAC shop probably aren't helping either.

Just do what Obama does

Use a teleprompter - read the liberal talking point lies

and don't talk to Republicans.

All it had to do was scream racist over and over.
To keep it from being monotonous, it should vary intonation, and volume while saying only the word "racist".
