Okay, regarding sunwyn...
You may recall that we've been trying to raise funds toward the purchase of a vehicle. She simply can't remain in Ohio; the situation for her and her mom keeps going from bad to worse (she has to walk 9 miles just to go to interviews!). She is currently in the southwest part of Ohio...near Camden...in a fairly remote area, evidently.
Here is what she wrote in her new fundraising post: http://www.wishadoo.org/fundraising/3/please-help-us-get-to-missouri/
Things have gone from bad to worse. I'm happy to share details with anyone who may want to know them, but suffice it to say that we can't stay here. Landlord issues, transportation issues, no support of any sort available at all.
I used to live in Missouri and feel it would be best for us to return there. I found a place that will let us move in but I need to come up with at least $2000 to move. I tried to find a place locally but with no credit, I can't even find a rental (we can't stay where we are due to the landlord's problems). I am terrified my mom is going to end up in a county facility (which is ATROCIOUS here), and that I'll end up homeless.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
I have limited time on the computer, but will try to check messages as much as possible. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.

Does she want Ambers old bedroom? It would need to be deloused first.
Maybe not. After all it is another unwashed DUmmy living in squalor.

1. K&R!
Don't just K&R, use some of your remaining campaign donations to help.

6. I donated!
Being a poor person myself I can rarely help with these campaigns beyond encouragement. My picture slowly improves so I find I am able to send $10. Not much but hey, if we all did it (and I know some can do much more while some can do none) we could help save this DUer and her mom from a terrible fate.
Julie--who has much faith in the humanitarianism of DUers

7. Bless you, Julie!!! (in a non-religious "blessing" way) :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, and may your life situation improve day by day, with no more extreme struggles to come your way. (Hey, that rhymed!)
Pathetic.
-
What's wrong with saying "bless you" in a religious way?
And why point out it's meant in a non-religious way at all?
Why not just say "bless you" and leave it at that?

Why don't they just take a bus like LFR did?
And why did they wait all day for a ride when she broke her ankle?
Doesn't the town have any emergency vehicles or even a good Samaritan?

Why do you think they're called DUmmies? They need help to do the most simplest of things.

I thought we'd be able to get the skinny on Amber indirectly from Crystal Naydean, but no.
Just as Amber's fame was skyrocketing, Crystal Naydean shut us out of her Facebook page, and Annette, the only Hoyt girl who works, is too beat from long shifts at Popeye's to provide much info.
Now Amber is pretty much incommunicado. Apparently teepee wi-fi is unreliable.

Didn't the hunk-a-chief teach her smoke signals?

Considering the type of eternity that's promised to blasphemous, godless, immoral, hateful democrats, it's not surprising they make every effort to dodge God, to hide from His judgment.
So far in the history of the universe that has never worked, but I guess they may as well give it a shot.

Stay in Ohio, you worthless mooching piece of shit, we don't need any more bloodsuckers here.

When Vermont decided to pass single payer legislation, I tried very hard to help a leftist travel there since he desperately wanted it to pass at the federal level. But alas, he declined the free one way bus ticket I offered. Just hope this one doesn't find somebody that realizes what a great opportunity this is and offers this DU the same.

Amen. We have enough shit to deal with coming out of the twin assholes of KC and STL.

This has got to cause a major shakeup in DOTY rankings. I see an upset brewing.

Has a mole ever successfully beat the free money drum at the dump? A fool and his money are soon parted. Might as well be a DUmmie fool.

Many of us have gotten actual real DUmmies to donate in our moles names, just so we can get that star (http://www.democraticunderground.com/imgs/star.gif) by our name. I certainly have.

She last posted on how she got a job. If it's like most people who work for a living instead of sponging off of others, once she started paying taxes she became a Republican, gave up on munching carpet and hooked up with a real man.

While I feel badly for those who are not able to do for themselves, I have no pity in my cold Rethuglican heart for those who WILL NOT do for themselves.
Will, way, shit like that.

That used to be how everyone felt. Somehow that changed and we as a society now have misplaced compassion for people who would greatly benefit from a swift kick in the ass.

Yeah, somewhere along the way I went from normal to a cold-hearted bastard because I won't kowtow to everyone who sits on their asses with their hands out.
I've never been like that for a day in my life, and I sure as hell don't plan on going down that route now, or even when I retire.

Moving to another state because of financial issues seems to be a common theme at the dump. I can completely understand moving because of a job offer, or at least the potential for more job offers, but to choose a state simply because one used to live there seems ridiculous, unless you have a serious support system in place in the new state.

It's called welfare or any of a hundred obama sponsored programs.

Bless you in a non-religious "blessing" way? Isn't that essentially the same as not blessing? Why not say bless you in an "atheist-I-really-don't-give-a-shit-about-you" way? Or just say "F you" and let it go at that?

OK, I pick LocoNuts then:
So, I went outside, saw a bunny rabbit and a squirrel, and got so scared I pissed my pants and shit myself. What should I do?

Water runs down hill, right? I looked at a map and a river runs from Oh. to Mo. so DUmmie could get a bike and coast all the way there. It seems reasonable to me.

Missouri has a moat to protect us from the loons in the east- most of them drown in the Mississippi River. The few that do make it manage to scamper off to STL or KC most of the time.

As much as they're into supposedly into books and poetry, it's surprising this one hasn't tried to put together a raft, draft the assistance of a poor black man and float on down there like Tom Sawyer. He could trade door knobs and not paint fences along the way for income. Guess building that raft would harm some trees or be too much work or something...

Just curious but just when this Wish- a- do and trying to raise money come about in the DU ?
Not knowing about this site, before Obama, were the Liberals out and becoming beggars in the streets and loosing their homes as they lost heir jobs ? Were the banks lending to those because they were affirmative Action Banks ?
Perhaps it was because I worked 6 days a week, 10 hours a day and really had little idea what the rest of the country was going through. Some I worked with had a part time job on the side , I tried that also but as I had hit 50 years old it became a matter of banking money and a big hit to my health. Lots of money in the bank but no time to spend it on a vacation or even a night out for wining , dining or even a dance or two.
I have never felt poor, always knew if I needed money I could get a job at even $5.00 PH. BUT, that was when I was Young, under 50 and could handle the work load and watched as people 20 years younger just sat back and got the LBJ benefits.
I have much to bitch about on both party's but, as an American I can do so without the swat team arresting me for thought, so far, but when do I find they can and will do under Obama ????
