the polls are all over the place. newsweek (http://www.newsweek.com/id/142465) has obama up 51-36.
the internals (http://www.newsweek.com/id/142469) are at the link. republicans 22%/dems 36%/independents 37%. :whatever: 26% "non-white". 53% female. 23% hillary supporters (read : LIBERALS) they also vastly inflated the 18-39 year old turnout.
this isn't a poll. it's propaganda.
-
Polling percentages of republicans 22%....non-whites 26%....
:whatever: :whatever: :whatever: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:

yeah, I have no idea why they bothered to even release the damn thing. if I was the editor of newsweek, I would haven eaten it. it's that bad.
-
What a load of nonsense. There've been some pretty bad polls released in the past, but this one takes the cake.

the quinnipiac battleground state poll was almost as bad, but they had the good sense to hide their internals.

Ooobama is a uniter dammit!1!!!!11111 :-)
polls schmolls.
They are clearly trying to a) keep the ooobama nutz happy b) snap the hill supporters into line c) scare the crap out of the retirement home set that supports that nice Johnny McCain.

pretty much :-)

we haven't talked about this in a while, but I guess it's also possible that we are seeing "the wilder effect" in these polls. hillary consistently got significantly more votes than the pre-election polls or the exit polls indicated.
-
although after the quinippiac poll, rove was on fox news and moved either OH or PA (can't remember which) into the "obama" column, and FL into the "tossup" category. he mentioned the quinnipiac poll by name . . . .
[Karl]Rove said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., "needs to come right at him." He referred to the latest Newsweek poll showing Obama with a 15-point lead over McCain as nonsense, though he used a more scatological synonym. Rove said he was heading over to the White House for lunch and a chat with the President, Klein reports.

And I'll never forgive you for it either. That thread was about me damnit!
BTW, I don't believe any polls that are coming out right now.

Someone with a good memory can correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't nearly every poll in 2004 show Kerry with a sizable lead over Bush? I seem to recall that it was supposed to be a slam dunk for Kerry who, by the way, served in Vietnam. :-)

it's still about you. sort of. :-) just not the way it started out to be. :uhsure:
and I am going to have to send myself a warning, and limit myself to three poll threads per week. :rotf:

Don't make me go all Skinner on you. :evillaugh:
Most people aren't paying attention to the race right now anyways. I might be more inclined to actually care about polls starting after the conventions.

kerry was up 17% points after his convention. it tightened up after the GOP convention.

I know. I'm a sick, sick puppy.

Methinks it might be a mistake to believe this. I think the Jeramiah rants snapped everybody to!
I don't know why but I have the hardest time managing quotes!

It's the same old, same old. They lie to the world, they lie to themselves. They don't fool the world but they do fool themselves.
The election comes, they lose, they say "how can we have lost, we had the lead since June!!! OH I know .. those Republicans stole the election again!"
You would think that they would tire of the game.

they had some editor from newsweek on the scarborough show this morning (which joe scarborough never seems to appear on these days, by the way) and discussed these numbers as if they weren't crap.
it was a good thing they were only on TV; I had a razor in my hand again.

I just had a wonderful flashback to '04 and the libruls at TPP. Good times! The birth of the bouncy ball and we witnessed it.

LOL You know where they all are. They are still the same, but there isn't anyone like you to :fuelfire: or :pokingpoop:
They had some good Obama vs Clinton battles and a couple of the Clinton folks are saying they will vote for McCain.
