Looking for support for a new DU group: "New Progressive Media Resources Access Group"
We are looking for support from as many members as possible, and if it's there will propose the idea to Skinner.
New Progressive Media Resources Access Group
Statement of Purpose:
A safe place to share and discuss wider ranging news, views and opinion from both internal alternative US news sources and Global sources available through external wireless or ethernet connected alternative delivery systems.
Alternative formats might include podcasts, streams, and other emerging formats that carry Left/Progressive Voices reporting about Current Topics in USA/Politics/Global Financial, Food and Water Resources, Climate Change News, etc.
We'll check in from time to time and try to answer any questions.
You know, I used to think--I have no idea why--Skippy was an architect, interior decorator, or home remodeller, but now it appears he's a.....schoolteacher.
I also used to have much higher regard for Skippy than I do now, especially after this weekend. So the brain-damaged primitive evaporates, and Skippy, one of his best friends, never bothers in the interim asking about him; where he is, how he's doing. It's like Skippy even forgot he had a friend named Doug.
But suddenly this past weekend, Skippy showed up at the brain-damaged primitive's campfire and "kicked" it.
Totally and wholly without shame or embarrassment, no red-faced mumbled apology, for having never inquired of, or to him, about how he was doing. Here, he'd forgotten all about the guy, and acted as if he hadn't.
<<<wonders what passes for "friendship" among primitives.
Anyway, it's a long but really boring campfire; it's almost as if Skins's island doesn't already have more than enough small forums, none of which seem to generate much interest.

So LFR... I'm curious. How are things working out with your rock ribbed 40 yr old native American that crosses the border? Are you working your flabby butt off carrying drugs across the desert yet?? I fully expect to see you on an episode of Drugs Inc. Arrested as a mule and charged with transporting drugs.

That didn't surprise me, the way she used to eat up the barely-disguised condescension that Skippy fed her when she was still safe in Missouri.
I used to speculate that Skippy's that way--maddenly condescending--because maybe he had, or has, a "handicapped" younger sibling to whom he used to talk down, but now I'm thinking he's that way because he's a "socially sensitive" schoolteacher.
