The Continental Congress compromised to form the US. But these guys would have shut it down and go their separate ways.
Latin America is a good example. Simon Bolivar wanted to have one country, but he died then his generals could not agree to a unified Latin America. They then just divided up land and each general got his own country.

The DUmmy is right for once, If the clowns we had now were trying to draft a constitution, 0bama would be for a monarchy with himself as king of course, the democrats would fall right behind him as long as he allowed them to have some power, and the republicans would be trying to get everyone to like them so they would go along with it in a slightly weakened form, and the TEA party would be outnumbered and shipped off to prison camps.

At least we'd have gays who have government subsidized access to abortions.
