WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that stalled immigration reform would be a top priority once the fiscal crisis has been resolved.

Be wary of this one. No amnesty!

We're screwed.  There's a reason Obama is making this pivot so quickly. He has to do it to keep the news off of the Obamacare failings.

I don't see Congress having the stomach for another giant squabble-fest, particularly since the fiscal 'Resolution' will be just another short-term postponement of the fiscal/debt problem which they'll have to revisit again in a couple of months.

...and go right down the very same squabble-road again.

These guys do a masterful job kicking that damned can. No guts, no determination, no balls to actually fix the problem. Courtesy of Dingy Harry, of course, and Barry, his paid pimp.

:exactly:

If they keep kicking the can, the can could end up in the river. I would not be surprised if there is another government shutdown.

The day is soon approaching when they won't have a can to kick to down the road.

The irony of this is that in his weekly address last Saturday, the boy king made this statement:

And it wouldn’t be wise, as some suggest, to just kick the debt ceiling can down the road for a couple months,  (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/10/12/weekly-address-lets-get-back-work-american-people)

will anybody in the press call him on what he said last Saturday and the "resolution" that was cooked up today?

I would die laughing if Obama legalizes a bunch of illegal aliens and doesn't include himself.....and then after leaving office it is discovered that he isn't an American citizen after all and is deported to Kenya.

I hate to say it, but this is a really smart move by Obama.

By all accounts the GOP right now is fractured.  Obama wants to drive a wedge in that fracture, and immigration might do it.

However, this might backfire in an epic way on Obama.  If the GOP in the House hold firm together then this bill will either die, or come out in a much more GOP friendly way.

The reason the GOP fractured over the debt limit was the doomsday ideas being put out there, they are debatable, but enough bought into it.

There is no such doomsday if the GOP doesnt pass Amnesty, its really the opposite actually.  Starve the Democrats of those voters.
