Ward I unofficial results with 15.55% turnout
Being the only election race really hurt turnout. Carmichael graduated from the local high school. He was permits and inspection chief for years before he retired. Dave owns a successful business in the business district. I thank the DU for the support I've enjoyed.
More on this in a couple weeks.

1. Would it hurt to provide some context?
Is there a reason a City Council race or these candidates are significant?

Both Steve Carmichael and Dave Compton are Republicans. Omaha Steve, I think you might just be campaigning in the wrong area. When a third party libertarian gets about as many points as the only Democrat in the race, the area might just be too conservative for you to have a chance.

As long as the Air Force has a base there it will probably always be that way.

There's a rumor floating around the First Ward that Marta voted for Carmichael.
That's the word at Bear's Bar, anyway.

There's no more "next time"s for Steve, and he knows it as well as I do.
