The Prairie Band Pottawatomie Nation has Tribal Court. The sentence for Homicide in the First Degree on the Res is "a fine of $5,000, or by a term of imprisonment in the tribal jail not to exceed one year; or by banishment for a period not more than life; or any combination of the above." Section 15-2-11 (http://www.pbpindiantribe.com/upload/pdf/law-and-order-code/Title_15_Criminal_Offenses.pdf). Beats the shit out of a Hard 50 in the Kansas State Pen.
