Here's my ACA rate INCREASE for those who doubt...
I've posted a bit about this before and nobody seemed to believe me, so I've decided to share photos of the "plan comparison" chart from Blue Cross that I received.
So, to summarize:
* Premium going way up!
* Deductible going way up!
* Out of pocket going WAAAY up!
But hey, at least I, as a 30-something male, get pediatric dental/vision and maternity covered, right? Right? RIGHT?!?
Check out the replies. Basically along the lines of "SHUT UP AND EAT YOUR CARROTS." (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023824490)

1. It looks like an upgraded policy.
If you keep the same one, the ACA prevents insurance companies from raising the premium more than 10%.
You don't HAVE to use the exchange, if that's the problem.

7. but others got great rates.....
Check this post out, as they got fabulous rates with ACA.

29. You're not getting a rate increase.
Your insurance company is forcing you into a significantly upgraded policy with coverage for tons of stuff you didn't have before.
Go to the exchange and shop.

11. You're getting more things covered. So, it should go up.
You're getting mental illness, maternity, pediatric dental and vision covered. You're getting all of these things covered for another $75.00.

17. I'm going to be paying $1,300/month for coverage until the ACA kicks in after the first.
I'd be doing ****ing handsprings if my premium was $236.
Heh. I love it.

What the hell is "upgraded" about higher deductibles and premiums? How the hell do they know if it's an "upgrade" for him. He might have the same kind of coverage with the lower priced plan. And, you freaking idiots, it isn't "big insurance" sticking it to him. Their lower priced plans, which they were supposed be able to keep, don't comply with 0bamacare. That SHOULD matter. If 0bama meant what he said, already established policies would NOT have been affected. Oh, and you might want to check the cost of insurance through the exchanges. The middle class is getting hosed. They don't qualify for a subsidy. Neither do many of the working poor.

Obama lied, your old health care died!
Like I have said, the only silver lining is that the DUmbasses that voted (in their own self interests) for the evil democrats ans Satan spawn Obama will be hurt the most. Not much I know but it's all there is.
Oh
and
OWN IT!!!!

There are posters up at work announcing that our insurance premiums and coverage are not scheduled to change in 2014. I don't know how much the company is spending to cover the increased costs but I don't expect it to last through next year.

At a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on Aug. 11, 2009, President Barack Obama repeated a line he's used many times in describing his health care proposal: "If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan."

Upgraded to new mandates he did not need but now has to pay for.

So, if he gets pregnant, goes crazy, looses some teeth, shoots out an eye or becomes addicted to drugs/alcohol, he is half ass covered for an extra $92 a month.....why that's almost free, ain't it......well, ain't it?

Dental and vision are only for minors...the most expensive to cover but the most enticing for potential female voters.

Wrongo.
The primitive's plan was discontinued because of Obamacare. He had a low cost plan that covered what he needed covered, but Obamacare imposes a one-size-fits-all mentality. So now he gets to pay for features he neither wants nor needs, such as maternity, and basic dental/vision coverage for kids he doesn't have. The bronze-compatible offering the primitive will be switched to is the closest available to the plan he couldn't keep.
Which makes me wonder....
What about gay dudes forced into a plan that covers maternity. Isn't that homophobic ?
-
$2500 deductible and a 50% copay after that is not an upgrade!

If they cry, Obama will give them an exemption, just like the other 1299 he's given to his supporters.

The family out-of-pocket limit for in-network medical care goes from $3,000 to nearly $13,000. On the positive side all the men in the family now have mammogram coverage and the women are eligible for prostate exams.

His current plan is a lot better and cheaper, so I'm sure he'll decide to keep it.

24. I didn't know you would be forced to buy maternity and pediatric care when you are a male and have no kids. Is that really part of the healthcare law?
They don't know shit about this steaming pile.
Here's something else they keep saying, at the DUmp and elsewhere on the webs:

81. It may be the same plan, but what people are saying is that if you actually acquire it via
the exchange that you will most likely get a subsidy, so the cost won't be the same.
Not at all likely. The income requirements are a bitch, and any subsidy is crumbs.
Look at this asshole:

145. Well, deal with it. There are no more crappy policies available. There never should have been,
either. They bankrupted far too many Americans. You'd think you would care about your fellow Americans, but maybe they don't care about anybody but themselves where you hail from. More's the pity.
Anyway, $236/mo for that policy is no biggie. If you make too much to get a subsidy, you can well afford it, unless your financial priorities are seriously effed up.
What a ****ing prick.

6. Who is the "we" who is enrolling you?
And what is coinsurance?
More astounding ignorance.
Something else they're doing over there is saying that a $46,000 salary is rich rich rich. Fabulously wealthy. DUmbasses, in a city that's dirt poor. That's the problem with these one-size-fits-all schemes.
And look at this asshole, pretending to be Perry Mason:

36. So you admit that these photos are not from the ACA site, but from your insurance company.
The same insurance company that you, yourself, admit that you're getting a more comprehensive plan from. And yet, you expect us to believe that you got this from the government site and your premiums under ACA have gone up? What about those statements is NOT a lie?
I can't take any more of the thread. The Deuce says time and time again that he checked plans with the exchange (don't know how he got in); that he did his homework before posting. Time and time again, the DUmmies say to him "Go shop on the exchange!" It happens about 100 times. I believe I'm officially insane now.

The thread is enormous.
The whole thing is a democrat catastrophe.
But it's almost buried from public view by the crazies in Congress grandstanding over the budget.

I have to wait until November to find out next years cost but we have already been told the company will not pick up the entire increase as it is significantly higher, how much our share is still yet to be determined. I have a very bad feeling about this.
In January we had 1000 employees laid off and manufacturing moved to Costa Rica as a direct result of DUmasscare and now to add salt to the wounds a hefty increase in insurance is likely for the rest of us.
We actually get hit twice with the med device tax here in Assachusetts as Romney care also takes a bit out of our revenue.
