An explanation at last (on being an ACA loser...)
I have posted here ad nauseum about my rates going up under ACA (premiums + deductibles). I have received mostly resistance and/or disbelief.
This article in huffpo this morning lays it out.
Snip:
9 Valid Concerns We Can Have with Obamacare ...
2. How will people respond to paying higher premiums?
Obamacare will offer health coverage to millions of previously uninsured or uninsurable Americans at a lower average rate than initially expected. For this system to work, however, the law expects some people who currently have plans on the existing market to pay higher premiums to get coverage through an Obamacare exchange. For those making an annual salary between 300 and 400 percent of the federal poverty level (which is $11,200), federal subsidies will be limited.
For that small percentage of Americans, some key questions emerge. Will the angry cries of those whose rates go up drown out the joyful shouts of those whose rates go down or who never had insurance in the first place? Will they see their premiums as affordable, even without the subsidies offered to poorer people or those whose coverage is more expensive? Will they decide that health insurance is important enough to pay for, even if it costs hundreds or thousands of dollars a year, or will they reject the new market and opt to pay the individual mandate penalty?
These are arguably the biggest unknowns and could determine whether Obamacare is ultimately beset by the enrollment issue described above, and whether it builds enough public support to be politically sustainable.

Whoa.
164 primitive views, but not a single primitive comment.
One would think that out of 164 primitives, at least two or three of them would say something, anything.

By now, I was expecting to see dozens of Obamacare success stories on the DUmp. Bragging about how great it is, and how they are all getting such cheap insurance.Obama said that if you already had Medicare or Medicaid you didn't need to do anything.....DUmmies do nothing so they are covered under one of those programs, right?
Their silence speaks volumes.
I don't see it.I can....as matter of fact I hear them now, "But I gotz Obama in-shore-ants....it's supposed to bees free."
Even if the law gives free "bronze" coverage to every democrat deadbeat, they still can't afford the huge deductible and co-pay.
I can't see "bronze" plan deadbeats going to the doctor any more often than they do now.

Not even a peep from ProSense or Trumad, or the other obamacarezombies? Well, it doesn't help that it comes from Huffington Post, not National Review. Then what happens? They default to paying the "fee" which is how much again? It goes up every year.
Nobody can pay those prices. They just can't, and won't. That's a fact, Jack.

Let's say you can't afford your ObamaPremiums and default to paying the fee, how do you still get medical care? Go to the emergency room? I thought that's what this monsrosity was supposed to alleviate.

You'd think at least one of them would've made the "that's why we should've done single payer". As an aside, I have no idea how this came to be known as "single payer" when the whole working population of the US will be paying for it.

And I suspect the "fee/tax" will get raised exponentially in a few years when people decide it is just cheaper to pay the penalty.

4. Small price to pay for the millions of people that have never had insurance.
With a bit of household budgeting, I'm sure they will manage.

7. It's a shame that one pol. party didn't want to help improve the bill.
Because no one thinks it's perfect. But my, what a valuable political game we can play over it...
See it's all the repukes fault after all. If only those lousy repukes would have swooped in and fixed the bill instead of trying to kill it it would have been so much better. They will go to any lengths to avoid being responsible for their own faliures.
Once again the DUmmies demand that the responsible people do a little budgeting, yet if we suggest the DUmmies do a little budgeting and pay for their own shit they get all bent out of shape.

That bill would have easily doubled in size to 6000 pages if the Repukes had a hand in it. Just look at the mess not reading 3000 pages is causing and double that. You've forgotten the 27,000+ pages of rules and regulations the Silly-bilious-bitch has written to go along with Obamacare.
This is what's killing me about this whole thing--healthcare is a COMMODITY. A finite, limited supply exists. If you throw 30-40 million more people into the system, many of whom either had existing conditions or live lifestyles where they'll tend to use/need more of that commodity,
WHAT THE **** DID THE GOVERNMENT THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? 3000 PERCENT REDUCTIONS???
Last night, the organization formerly known as President Obama's reelection campaign, Organizing for Action, held an Obamacare event in Greenville, South Carolina. The event was called "Obamacare and You!"
"Let's discuss what this Affordable Care Act means for you and your community. This session will help you understand the benefits and will equip you to spread the word about the benefits of Obamacare in your community. Come out and get the facts!!," the event advertisement said.
But it wasn't widely attended. Only two people, in addition to the two organizers, showed u

12. Yes, thanks.
I was frankly caught off-guard by the increases. I thought I could do no worse than what I had, based on Pres. Obama's repeated reassurances that if you liked the insurance you had you could keep it. I'd like to hear his response to my problem.

From a friend, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION...posted on the Obamacare website today "I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition
(Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable.
