8 million people in the mostly red states controlled by republicans will not have insurance because
those republicans refused to expand their medicaid programs, in spite of the Federal government paying for that expansion for the first 3 years.
What a morally bankrupt bunch of hypocrites
This has nothing to do with the President, this is the republicans attacking on the poorest folks in the country

1. Yes, people need to realize this.
And the folks who are left out in the cold will blame it on "Obamacare", not their repuke governors who refused to take the Medicaid expansion funds

4. Emergency rooms are for emergencies, my answer to the republicans
Emergency rooms are full of Medicaid patients which already make it difficult for people with real emergencies.

Those are all Democrats. We don't care about them down here.
You idiot, just because the state declines to operate an ACA exchange does not mean there won't be one. It will just be managed directly by the federal government instead.

 Naw, we have a lot of dark brown and light brown people here.....they can get Obamacare, just the federal plan. Can't get any info on it, but according to their website, we have it here. Just. Can't. Get. To. It.

Dear DUmbass...Medicaid is not insurance.
What happens after those 3 years?

The states will have to cough up the dough. We rejected it here in Florida for the same reason we declined the high speed rail. We couldn't afford the aftermath of the "free money".
-
Well its a start.
-
What happens after those 3 years?
At that point it will be a carved-in-stone entitlement.
-
My understanding of why red states didn't buy into is because after a couple of years, the states will lose their federal subsidies and the medicade costs will skyrocket. They prefer to have their own form of state sponsored programs for the poor.
On a side note, I had a Dr. appt. this afternoon and while I was waiting, I asked the receptionist if they were all set with their new system to coincide with Obamacare. She said no, we haven't changed anything, we don't take Obamacare.

What.....we shouldn't blame all 27 of them?
-
Well, it appears those people in blue states who want to sign up, can't even get into the system so there's really not a lot of difference!

Does lostincalifornia think that if we all had Obamacare, we would stop dying? People have been dying since...um...forever. That's what people do. They die. God fixed it that way and all the vegetable-eating, exercising, healing white light and Obamacare in the world won't change that fact. Those eight million, along with the rest of us, are going to die, one way or another.
Now I"M depressed. If I just had O-care I could get a pill or something. :???:
-
Isn't it compassionate to put the poor down because of the living hell they go through here in the evil USA?
I have a plan to ship the poor to Cuba where they can get free medical care.
-
Maybe those 8 million will move to a blue state hell hole......win-win for everyone......right?......right?
Oh and BTW, who do I call about all the dead bodies in my trees?
-

I'm not sure how Medicaid, a public welfare program, relates to insurance.

That was Ruth Ginsberg's argument for legalizing abortion.
In an interview with the New York Times, the judge said that Medicaid should cover abortions, and that she had originally expected that Roe v. Wade would facilitate such coverage in order to control the population of groups "that we don't want to have too many of."

::) Nice.
RBG also promoted the idea of lowering the age of consent to 12. Seems to me like those two views might be contradictory.

Get 'em while they're young. After two or three early age abortions they will become sterile, problem solved.

I'd like to make an observation after having to go to several Doctor appts this week for myself and family members. The wait times were outrageous and I couldn't figure out why, I finally figured out why when we went in to see the Doctor, the electronic medical records were in effect, with the typing on the laptops not only did the appts. take twice the amount of time but the visits were extremely inpersonal because most of the time the Doctor asked you the question he was typing on the laptop and not looking at you.
