Why, does one suppose, the primitives are so mum about the fates of the brain-damaged primitive and the convenience store primitive?
The primitives are acting as if these two of their own are radioactive, or contagious with the bubonic plague. They're staying far, far away from both of them, refusing to discuss them, refusing to speculate upon what they might be doing.
These two are their own, remember, and while they were around, great was the primitive clamor of protestations of caring, of friendship, of remembering. It was rather noisy, all these primitives shouting to the brain-damaged primitive and to the convenience store primitive, that they were friends, pals, chums, forever.
But now that they're gone.....silence.
Apparently the friendship of a primitive's not worth a plugged nickel.
I guess I'm personally most concerned with the convenience store primitive--the sour-assed brain-damaged primitive can go pound sand, for all I care--because I think I probably understand more than most, what she's going through. She's scared, she's confused, she's panicking.

I'm just really stunned that the primitives don't seem to care for two of their own.
What kind of "giving, caring community" is that?

It's just how they are. One of the common personality traits left wingers have in common. When it comes down to it, they will jettison one from the herd if not flat out eat one of their own. It's part of the reason I rarely make light of them. It's pretty easy to laugh at the bastards and forget how insidious they can be.

It's amazing to see how quickly she was forgotten.
No one liked Doug Bulna in the first place, so that's not as surprising. They're glad he's gone.
But Amber was like a crippled puppy.
A lot of DUmmies wanted to comfort her, until she became a sensation here. Then envy kicked in, and they discarded her.

You know, the second of the three purposes of the DUmpster is to serve as "quality control" for the primitives; to check to see if they're what they say they are, to see if there's any truth in their self-advertising as being the smartest, caringest, goodest people in the universe.
Surely the primitives can't object to being quality-checked, as if we're the FDA being sure a product's what it's advertised to be. I'm sure the primitives approve of the FDA doing this.
I will say that in more than twelve years of quality-checking the primitives, not one single primitive has ever been what the primitive's alleged himelf to be. They haven't just fallen short; they've fallen way short, never even coming close.
Of course, I might be unfair here; after all, I haven't quality-checked all the primitives, only the ones bragging the most about their goodness, about how much they care about other people.
As the late Oscar Wilde once commented about a dinner guest, "the more he boasted of his virtue, the more I took care to count the napkins and silver."
(In case one doesn't get that, during the 1880s and 1890s--and before, of course--there was no such thing as paper napkins and cheap aluminum flatware, and linen and silver silverware were expensive.....and prone to theft.)
Through quality-checking of the primitives, we find that the primitives who yap the most about how much they care, actually don't give a damn.....as the brain-damaged primitive and the convenience store primitive have undoubtedly learned by now.
