Parenting Lesson #4671 - Don't give your kids adult problems to deal with
Trust me, they will want to help. After all, what kid doesn't want to help their parent.
But saddling your kid with adult problems (bills, sex, etc) forces them to grow up too fast. It steals their childhood from them.
This is why you shouldn't discuss finances in front of your kids, or discuss marital problems, or really - - anything that isn't a kids issue

Sounds to me like he's been trying to manipulate his children to his side during his battles with his (ex?) wife...
Parenting lesson #1 - if you're a drug addict, don't become a father.

Parenting is about training the kids to be able to survive as adults on their own, even a cat trains the kittens how to survive .

I'd take golf lessons from Obowow before I'd take parenting advice from Tavernturd. :fuelfire:

4. I must admit however, that I resented my mother for it, and still do. Since she was not fair about it.
I mean, it makes sense to make a kid pay for things, particularly with money they get from people, but to cheat them out of it, and if the kid can do math properly, it just breeds bad feelings.
As for Tavs,
But saddling your kid with adult problems (bills, sex, etc
That one shocked me. What does that look like? "Say kid, last night I had a minor problem. Know anything about those little blue pills?

Taverner's kids will each need a copy of this:

Far from being a book about children who are intellectually advanced, it's about kids who have to cope with the damage done to them by shitty, unprepared, abusive, selfish, addicted people like Kregel.
Poor kids.
