The Democrats are hoping and praying for a shut down. They think that it will help them in 2014.

If there is a shutdown I wonder how long will it last. The last time there was a government shutdown was from December 1995 to January 1996. That lasted for 21 days. There have been 17 government shutdowns since 1976. There was never a shutdown under George W. Bush from 2001-2009.
