Anyone else working for a company that is changing employment status?

I just received a letter last week from our corporate office stating that, due to ACA, they will be reevaluating employment status for their employees and that many will be downgraded, especially those who work in schools. In other words, they are taking many of us who were full time and downgrading us to part time, in order to save on benefits.
The insurance isn't a problem since I'll probably qualify for any assistance with the open marketplace. What pisses me off is that I used to have vacation time and sick time, along with life insurance, stock options and a 401K as a full time employee but that will all be gone.
This is bullshit and they know it.

6. Same thing here. 8000+ employees.
About 70-80% of our workforce has been knocked down to part-time, and all part-timers just had our insurance obliterated completely. The letter from the company insists that we just go on the government coverage, and gave us tips on where to go to find a good 401k program.
Never mind that maybe 3/4ths of our workforce is over 50, or that the vast majority of them rely on the insurance to live. Unfortunately, most of us saw this coming when the ACA was still being debated.

17. This happened to me and several hundred...
colleagues at the beginning of the summer our hours and in my case, 25% of my income, were cut. Then last week, they officially notified us that we would not be eligible for health care benefits.

2. companies
using the ACA as an excuse to cut labor costs
This is bullshit and they know it.This Obamacare, and we knew it.
I just witnessed this first hand on Friday at work while we were having our equipment calibrated. A company called XXXX Calibration services (external organization that performs calibration on some of our equipment) included a letter in the paychecks they received on Friday, the letter was informing them as of Jan 1 they will not be providing any health insurance benefits.
I was standing right there when two of the XXXXX employees opened the letter and after reading them one actually had to excuse himself to go outside, his eyes were clearly welling up. Listen up NSA. I HATE OBAMA and his Deathcare.
That's the bad part - more than happy to laugh at DUmmies who are being faced with the outcome of their stupidity, but there's plenty of good man and women who didn't vote for this but will still be screwed over by it.

But you can keep your doctor if you want to.....it's just that you'll have to pay him in cash.....or buy your own insurance coverage....on fewer work hours.
You bought Obama's BS.....now go buy some healthcare insurance, DUmmies.
Oh, and by the way, Obama ask that you help him sell this Obamacare BS to your friends, neighbors and family.

If they think losing hours and company insurance is bad, wait until they try to get an appointment at one of Dr. Obama's clinics.
......and these are probably the idiot types that gave blank stares if you asked them what they were voting for. Stupid bastards.....
:ownit:
....and live with the consequences.

What's infuriating is when obama or jay carney stand up there and say "there is no evidence linking the increase in part-time work to obamacare." This is the kind of shit that makes people snap.

DUmmies have their balls caught in a bear trap....I can't wait to see their pain when they finally reach the end of the chain.

I personally hope every damned one of them starve and die in the dark. For the rest of us that got screwed, we need to start figuring out how to support one another and bear each other up to make sure the "gimme dat" crowd suffers the most.

Just look at the lengths all of Os propaganda arms in the media are going to try to make people think this is all great.Every time I changed channels yesterday, some news person was saying something along the lines of, "When it comes to Obamacare, If you have Medicare, Medicaid or insurance come Tuesday you don't have to do anything."....and they were at it again this morning. Getting to where a fellow can't even channel surf without MSM shoving Obama in your face.

So, bottom line, care will be restricted and much more expensive even with the "lower" premiums. I say let them implement this POS and the folks will soon figure out just how horrendous it actually is. All the lemmings who said it was great will be clamoring to repeal it within a few months.
The DUmmies are really not going to like this. I've been on (still am) very high deductible "Affordable Hellcare" for the past 3-4 years. Just wait till they see a $6000 per person/ $12000 family deductible, and still pay out $300 a month.
I love the smell of dummie desperation in the morning. Won't matter though... at the end of the day they are dummies and they will vote for their masters once again in the next election.
In our local liberal daily rag, there are numerous articles about how obumbles care is soooooo greeeeaaaat!!! That tells me right there that this is an abortion in the making.
The bad thing is most dem voters do not pay anything for their healthcare so they don't care. The ones the GOP need to reach is the 20 somethings that are, or want to be, employed. If the GOP would do that, they could get those voters. Unfortunately I don't think it will matter in the end. Way too many welfare folks now.
I really hope I am dead when America implodes.
What if the family interested in coverage does not have a computer? There is a phone number, but the phone numbers are online! Greta was drilling some guy on her show Monday night the same question, he said the best way was the internet but you should be able to find someone in real life to point you in the right direction. (ie: church, social program, etc) He kept saying ".gov".
There is one problem in Nevada that is being repeated over in over in the media. The state exchange web page is only available in English. :rotf: The state is having to have the entire information published in Spanish, not translated but started from scratch, so there are not any translation issues. I wonder how much that is costing?
You know, that's an excellent point. I know all kinds of people who do not have internet. Really. Out in the boonies, there is no Time Warner Cable. Satellite is a pain in the ass. So, they just live normally like people used to do.
The dimbulbs in Washington cannot fathom that people don't live and think exactly like them. Double-Income-No-Kids, plus high tech gadgetry plus elite snobism. This is how the family glitch happened. What's a stay at home mother?
I've tried reading about the exchanges and it is confusing. According to my state's website, they explain the four plans' "out of pocket" expense as a co-pay. Bronze has a 40% co-pay, silver 30%, gold 20% and platinum 10%. The lower the co pay is, the more it costs. Supposedly your out of pocket costs don't apply once you reach a maximum amount according to age, income. But didn't Obama just postpone or remove the caps on out of pocket expenses?
I heard that the fines for not having Obamacare is going to skyrocket in 2016.
