Would it be a mistake to take a short vacation?...
I'm left confused after talking with my psychiatrist. He's not the most affectionate of psychiatrists (trans: puts up with zero in terms of whiny shit from me)and in fact in somewhat downright condescending at times so I find it hard to talk to him sometimes. Anyway I recounted the details of my recent breakdown to which he has recommended some med changes.
Now my father has this rather grand notion, which I don't really agree with, that I should take a LONG "discover yourself" type holiday to break out of my shell, to find myself. (Find yourself out of his house, moron. Did you miss that part?) He thinks I should go to Japan for 5 months to teach English and it would help to mature and change me. I'm not so keep on that idea and my psychiatrist just about got angry at me for bringing the idea up. He thinks it's a crazy idea, likened it to "tablets coming down from the sky at some point" (i.e. mosses receiving the tablets from god, that I'd get a message or conversion) and sort of dismissed it as a silly almost crazy idea. (your Dad wants to SAVE money. Your psychiatrist wants him to spend it on him. Do the math.)He did say a short vacation might be ok, but even that he didn't seem too warm about. I think the idea of a long journey would be just running from my problems.(Your problems are pretty much the same as shitting your pants...you can try to run from them, but they're always right there with you, stinking.)
What do you think of a short vacation? I feel VERY guilty of the idea. I feel I should be working or going to school not "playing hooky", but I'm not sure this guilt is well placed either or is the result of my self hatred and wanting to punish myself etc... I'm confused.(Dude, why not? You're useless. What else are you going to do?)
Edit: When I said that I felt guilty about going on a vacation he actually said "well then you have your answer", meaning I shouldn't go if I felt guilty. But he wouldn't say anything to alleviate said guilt, like saying you shouldn't feel guilt over taking the short vacation.
Gee, Loco...your college experience away from Mommy and Daddy went so well, why not go to a foreign country to teach DUmmy English? What could possibly go wrong? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/11514374)
Maybe he can get Amber Hoyt to go with him.

The lad needs to get over his grandiose opinion of his abilities. :loser:
Poor boy just needs to get a job that he can handle, and accept it.

Outside of "shovel holder" or maybe even a "wet paint watcher", just WHAT kind of job can this DUmbass actually handle?
He makes it sound like BREATHING is too stressful for him!
-
For most people, a vacation implies a break from the work-a-day world. Inasmuch as this DUmmy hasn't worked, and has even failed at several college (?) attempts, 'vacation' would only apply to the break he gives his enabling parents.
For Loconuts, it would only be a change of scenery - paid for by those same parents.
What a wasted piece of humanity!
-
You mean he needs another vacation after just going to Hawaii a while back?
-
I don't believe he said dad would pay for it. As a matter of fact it sounds like dad recommended a 'working' vacation.
DUmmie is seeing the end of the gravy train and it's freaking out.

LocoNuts would make it as far as one of the dirty panty vending machines, and no further:

In other words "dad" is trying to get him committed.
Go to Japan to teach English :whatever:

This fool hyperventilates if he has to leave his parent's basement and wants to go to Japan?

Curled in a fetal position in a college restroom, crying like a baby...Lets see where else can he go to have a breakdown?
He could go to Disneyworld and spend the whole time cowering in his hotel..."Goofy's out there. I know he hates me, and those eyes...Goofy never blinks!"
-
He was away at college for a week, If mom and dad can't move and hide in a week they deserve him in the basement.

That'd be an interesting subject for the "How It's Made" TV show.

He should go to Japan.
It would have the same sort of ending for him, that Tucson's likely to have for Amber.
Go to Japan, locust.

This kid can't even spend a week in a dorm room without turning into a sobbing blob of goo.
I don't see him making a 12+ hour flight to a foreign country and making a go of it.
-
Why is it every time I read this buffoon's name it sounds like a breakfast cereal for some reason..."Locust O's"

Wouldn't it be interesting to be in the seat next to him?
Worse than being next to Amber on that Greyhound.

I hope dear old Dad puts the house on the market while he's overseas.

That was my first thought. That is, if this isn't just some wacked-out, libtarded, never-ending Billy Liar sequence.

To say the least.

Heh.....
.....for this twink, the next county is overseas.

I couldn't believe what I was reading. I think the old man's just as crazy as Loco.
Does he have idea the kind of fortitude, resourcfulness, and just plain smarts it takes to immerse yourself in a completely different culture and language? By yourself? And then to be an authority figure such as a teacher? Does Loco even know Japanese?
I'm with Frank. I say: Go for it! You should definitely go!

A fitting punishment for the Japanese for getting us into WW2......even worse than an atomic bomb.
-
I wonder if he would be open to making a few extra $ carrying a package or two for me when he goes? :-)

Dear God, please don't let my kids turn out like that one. (http://data6.blog.de/media/729/4597729_37bd263427_m.gif)

If you turn out a kid who's 30-years old and never been kissed - never even held hands with a girl - you're doing something horribly, horribly wrong.

Yeah...given his track record, I can't see how that plan could possibly end well.

You what they'd do for their revenge for Loconuts, right?

Good idea. I hear they need teachers at Fukushima High.

Well then, open the back door and let him take a 20 minute vacation to shark week about halfway there.
As soon as I read "psychiatrist" I gave up on the poor widdle baby! All these DUmpster Divers have one or two high paid, taxpayer furnished, professionals it seems. Sure don't sound like he's payin' for it!

I'm sure Loco's dad would say so what if he doesn't speak Japanese, he's going to teach English!
And I think the old man is pretty crafty. They live in Vancouver. Within five months they can relocate to an undisclosed location in Toronto.

So, is this useless piece 'o skin part of the LGBT crowd? I thought they took care of their own. Oh, wait, prolly not exactly the type of vacation this asshat is lookin' for is it?
Can't imagine why Daddy is tryin' to get him/her/it outa the basement to "find" itself. You can bet a one way ticket is in his future.

No, he's just a 30+ year old virgin.

Have to agree with his Dad, sometimes the depressed need to get into another world then the one they have every day.
Japan is not a good idea but as he has interest in the Yukon, send him to teach or even work as a maintenance man in Alaska. A total world different from what is causing him depression.
Everything will be different, the people, the land and he will have to self adjust to living conditions, no time to obsess on his problems of old, new ones to physically overcome. What to do when one comes face to face with a Polar Bear, how to insure his car will start in -30 degree weather.
Depressed people need to get the heck away into a new environment that they must learn to live in.
No time to dwell on their past problems , a place where every day is a new adventure, a new problem to over come.
-
Is this the guy that moved into a dorm at the age of 31? If so, wasn't that about three weeks ago?

I don't think he is depressed, Vesta. I think he is just another dummie loser. I'm guessing his Dad is hoping he freaks out while going thru TSA and they throw him in the clink for a long time.
Alaska would be a good choice for him too. Mother Nature is a bitch and you either adapt or die. Either way, he would be better off, Vesta.
