McDonald's and Faux News (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023724381)

Why is it that every time I stop into a McDonalds their TV without fail is on FAUX News.

The other day I was contemplating eating in before the gym or just taking a carry out to the gym parking lot since it was a pleasant day. Well Faux and Fiends was on TV and I exercised a third option and that was to just leave. The last thing I want is an appetite killer/nausea enhancer.

Has anyone else noticed this and why? Marching orders?

Maybe you should change the channel and hide the remote.

3. In my experience, it's not just McD's

It's doctors' offices, dentists' offices, quickie-lube places, nursing homes - you name it.
It's not a recent phenomenon either, as I started noticing the number of teevees spewing FAUX garbage even before Dim Son got (s)elected.

In other words, anywhere that bouncy stories take place.

They should hire Doug Bulna as their consultant in how to rid McDonalds and other corporations of Fox News. He has the answer!

So - Primitive Norbert enjoys McDonald's before or while working out.  I bet he has posts where he doesn't understand why he isn't losing weight.

BINGO!

I've worked out my whole life and the very last thing before working out, although very first thing after, was to eat. Me thinks...... :whistling:

Our HARDEE'S has 2 TV's, one in each corner, one on FOX and one on CNN. Guess which corner you can't find a seat in?

I don't go to McDonald's and occasionally go to Burger King.  The TV above the counter is on closed circuit and shows the drive thru.

DUmmies don't understand that McDonald franchises are essentially small businesses.  The franchise owner gets to choose what ends up on the TV.

The one down the street usually plays CNN on a pair of TVs.  They occasionally have religious programming (Billy Graham).

And again, another ..... heh  ....gym rat.  Right.

All nutritionists highly recommend McDonalds as pre-training food.  Given that most was military gyms, still even at both Golds, I have yet to ever run into these types of flaming retards.

How dare those DUmmies support restaurants that refuse to pay a living wage!

McDummies are McCheap!

Businesses...unlike the DUmmies know what their paying customers want to listen to and watch.

Where I live, Tallahassee, FL, there are tee vees in the McDonald's, they are usually showing still pictures of items on the menu trying to make people buy stuff. Have never seen one tuned to Faux Snooze.

For me, television in a gym or restaurant (any type, even fast food), is a non issue.

I go to the gym to work out, and to the restaurant to eat.

They rebuilt one on the Las Vegas strip that included video monitors that incorporate some of the same images as you describe with a mixture of other programs. I have only been there once or twice for a cup of coffee or a quick breakfast before a work thing. Since then they have added a new metro McDonalds:  http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/apr/19/first---kind-metro-mcdonalds-debuts-strip/

They are getting fancy!

That's how some of the ones here in Germany look.

The DUmmie was exposed to F&F?  So it'd be Marina on weather, Brian on sports, and various headlines and the occasional stunt by the perky Anna K.  It's really not hardcore right winger teabagger stuff.

I see a lot of you don't have fast food places with TV's. Where I live there are a lot of democrat voters and they have to be entertained or else they go wild on you.....thus TV sets for the childish....it is, after all, for the chillrin.

I go to Micky Dees for one and only one super delicious thing invented in my city, the sausage McMuffin with egg. I and my gourmet chef wife have tried to make these at home and have never made them taste as good. Hell, even bought some egg rings. Don't eat them often but DAMN....GOOOOOOOD!

I have never seen a Tv in a Macd' s or any other fastfood restaurant in my life. I have seen them at the bar areas of some restaurants. Personally, i don't think it necessary for restaurants to have zTV's, too distracting, especially on a date.

The busier McD's have them here.  I don't think the one down the street has any, but the one next to the hotel/convention center is a bigger store and has two televisions.

They're in the McDs around here, especially if there's an indoor playground as part of the place.

Don't forget, DUmmies lie, they lie all the time.

Count the number of homeless that frequent these estabs, and you'll see it's a way to keep them from panhandlin' the customers. OBTW, ours don't have a TV. Heh, heh!
