The biggest mistake by Ted Cruz.. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023723128)
He "dissed" his colleagues in the Senate.
The Senate is primarily a special group of prima donnas. Their seniority is very important to them. The one thing that neither side will tolerate is for a "newbie" to come in and try to dictate what the rest of them will do. Cruz did not know his place. He pissed off a lot of Senators.
Sen. Cruz is a quite the popular topic at the DUmp today and I think he's pissing off the DUmmies more than his fellow Senators.

This is the "Mr Smith goes to Washington" moment of our times.

"Save your Confederate money boys, the South shall rise again"
Well, it does seem to be coming down to that.

Here's what that nasty, nasty Senator Cruz said that should be thrown in every dummies face whenever they start getting snippy:
“Every day in the Senate, I try to remember to whom I am accountable, and it is not elected officials in Washington,†he told The Washington Post in an interview last month. “It is not, with all respect, to the mainstream media. The people to whom I believe I am accountable are the men and women in Texas.â€

Paul Kane even expanded on that in a number of tweets:

How dare he? Responsive to his constituents, especially those who worked hard to get him elected rather than the fatcats in Washington? DU just showed its hypocrisy once again and something to remind the Dems of, over and over again as election season heats up.

Actually, I think this could turn out to be the modern equivalent of "Davey Crockett tells Congress to go to Hell"... :fuelfire:

The bluegrass primitive is being hypocritical; nothing new for a primitive, though.
Other times, the primitives have praised certain members of Congress for their iconoclasm.
So what's the deal here, damning someone for his iconoclasm, not sticking with the usual decorum?
I suspect it has something to do with the initial usually enclosed within parentheses.
Either iconoclasm is good, or it's bad--who the iconoclast is doesn't matter.

Now, now, Defiant, y'all know our Reps now worry more about themselves than the country. There is no longer what's considered "serving your country". If you fight for the American people, the powers that be will make sure your next election will be a loser. It's all about the money!
These pukes, or I should say most of these pukes, bathe in the power. The last thing they want is to relinquish any.

Ted Cruz is my Senator. I helped elect the man.

I hesitated to go there, but you may be right. I love that movie.
I helped elect the man.
Worth a :hi5: all by itself.
ESAD, DUmmies. :bird:
As it should be.
