Realtors with spooky old homes.

I got myself on this You tube website and now wonder why Realtors do not send out associates to investigate them.

All these  abandoned homes that have sat there on land for 20 + years and why the site is still abandoned.     Someone must be paying taxes on the property.

  There are some people that like to investigate these abandoned homes.   We did this as kids looking about abandoned homes, we found some interesting stuff, possibility valuable things but we never took much but anything of value that we knew of at the time.

So, what are the laws in your state, find a abandoned home with land and no one has paid the taxes, can you come in pay the taxes and now own the property ?

So a bank has possession of the property, can you jump ahead of the bank to pay the taxes before they do ??? 

What are the laws in your state about abandoned property, ????

If the bank doesn't own it, I believe the county puts them up for auction.  You could probably get a list of auctions from your county tax collectors office.

There used to be a law here that if you paid the taxes and improved/worked the property for 7 years, you could claim it.

I don't know about that now.
