There's basically no guns. Well, there are some, but not in anything like significant numbers.

I suppose I just take it for granted that I can wander about without thinking "has that guy got a gun" or "oh no, another gun massacre".

Nobody where I live is bothered about protecting themselves. There's nothing in particular to protect ourselves against, really. Apart from the occasional drunken moron.

I'm sure the residents of Chicago and DC feel the same way. After all they are practically gun free zones too.

it's a sad, pathetic reality

No what's pathetic is whiny little bitches who are scared of guns and want to take rights that our founding fathers mentioned specifically in the Constitution.

5. but that is exactly what the NRA wants

EVERYONE to be armed and paranoid but hey, not all of us fall for that garbage

When has the NRA said they want everyone armed? I think we can all agree that moonbats should not have guns. The NRA is for freedom of choice. I realize that to DUmmies choice only means having an abortion, but the word choice does apply to other areas. If you don't like guns don't buy one.

and there are guns here, Nobody where I live is bothered at all about protecting themselves. the crime rate here is very low.

How can that possibly be? If there are guns, isn't everyone constantly shooting each other?

16. I don't own a gun

I have never touched a gun.

I'm thrilled that this moonbat doesn't have a gun.

I think I am for gun control now. No democrats should ever be armed. They can't be trusted with the sharp end of a crayon, much less a gun.

If you don't want a gun, it's real simple...... DON'T BUY ONE! But don't you try and keep me from buying one. I thought you DUches were for choice? Regardless, you DUches don't need guns.

Edited to change they to try.

Why are you making a fuss over a small, tiny, insignificant detail like a beheading in the streets that no one could stop? /DU mode off  :banghead:

Where people are armed with cell phones so they can take video of the perpetrators!  Thank God they had those cell phones or it could have been bad.

If you look at it statistically, no one anywhere needs to carry.

The list of people who have saved a life by having carried a weapon is shorter than the list of Powerball winners.

I look at carrying, either concealed or open, to be far more a political statement of freedom than a matter of personal protection.

I went to a community fall festival a few years ago where half the people were carrying.  And I live in Calif.  Was most impressed.

A man who bought one of the first copies of Grand Theft Auto V has been attacked and robbed of the game as he made his way home.

The 23-year-old was hit with a brick and stabbed shortly after leaving an Asda supermarket in Colindale, north London, where the game went on sale at midnight.

He also had his watch and mobile phone stolen and is now recovering in hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

A police spokesman said it was not clear whether the man was deliberately targeted for the game.

He might not have been stabbed and robbed if he had a gun.

I'd also like to add that it's not a matter of you don't have to carry a gun.  More accurately, you cannot carry a gun.  Enjoy the choppy choppy:

Quote

The UK outlawed the switchblade and gravity knife in 1959.

In 1988 possession of a pocket knife with a blade larger than 3 inches in public became illegal.

In 1996, it became illegal to sell a razor blade to anyone under the age of 16.

In 2007, you needed a license to be able to sell “non-domestic knives.”

http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenfield/british-doctors-call-for-ban-on-long-kitchen-knives-to-end-stabbings/

And after all that, the money shot:

Quote
Britons suffer 1,158,957 violent crimes per year, which works out at 2,034 per 100,000 residents. The U.S., meanwhile, has a rate of 466 crimes per 100,000 residents, which is lower than France’s, at 504.

I don't have to carry a gun.  I live in Kansas, where open carry is legal almost everywhere, and concealed carry in most places.

I see people with guns frequently.  I hear people shooting frequently.  I own guns (I just don't carry) and I shoot frequently.

I take it for granted that some of the people I meet everyday will have a gun on them, or in their vehicle.  I don't ever worry about it.  Around here, we use our guns on coyotes, raccoon, deer, turkeys (the bird, not the people), and for target practice.  I suppose we have few mass shootings because we have few "gun free" zones.  Even the really deranged don't like the idea of their targets returning fire.   :-)

Nobody where I live is bothered about protecting themselves.  Criminals know the gun laws, and know that unarmed Kansans are few and far between...especially outside the city limits.  They are a lot more careful than criminals in "gun free" or heavily regulated areas.  Even the drunken morons don't take many chances.  Though to be fair, the time or 2 I've needed to drive off a drunken moron, a stern but polite demeanor did the trick without any need to start shooting.   :-)  I do appreciate knowing that I have the back-up, though...and that my kids can not only shoot, but also throw an accurate tomahawk.   :-)

Some of the X-wife's relatives were over here back in the early 80's. They got a thrill out of shooting some of my weapons.

All but one. He was fortyish and when he saw the guns in the closet of the guest room, I had to move them to my room. He couldn't sleep with them in the closet in the same room next to the bed. :lmao:

Copied from wiki.............

According to TV Licensing, "You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, digital box, DVD or video recorder, PC, laptop or mobile phone to watch or record television programmes as they're being shown on TV".[36] Portable televisions and similar equipment such as laptops and mobile phones powered by internal batteries are covered for use anywhere under a licence held for their owner's residence.

Well, I for one am glad I had a gun while at work as a security guard one night otherwise it could have been far worse then it was already . I had to hold some idiot at
gun point till the cops got there nearly a half hour later after someone called the 911 operator to tell them that a robbery was in progress when in fact it was someone who had just shot his daughters ex boyfriend  3 times.

I rode through Coffeyville a few years ago, right after the flood.

I moved out of the shadow of Ft Riley last spring; now I live just west of Abilene. Look for the cloud of cigar smoke as you drive along I-70. If the wind is blowing in the right direction, I can smell the chocolate from the Russell Stover plant.  :hyper:
