It is Set!!! I leave on the 7:35 A.M Bus, Saturday!!*
I will be taking along my paperwork, Laptop, my way old camera, My dress shoes, my light suit, my no slip shoes, 2 pairs of Dress slacks (one black, one kaki), some unmentionables, and some other small IMPORTANT odds and ends.
The goal is to have the laptop case at 25 pounds and the backpack at 50 or less.
Tomorrow is my last day at the store. I pick up the last check either Wednesday or Friday depending on when the US mail delivers it. My last day will be a 9 hour run. But then the hard part of waiting happens.
Primavera will be closed on Sunday so I have been trying to contact the Salvation Army to see if they will have an opening. I will have a small amount of money, so I hope, if need be, I can find a cheep motel. But then again the Salvation Army may have an opening.
I will figure out something. I may be as unlucky as a black Cat, but I always land on my feet!
*Saturday September 21, not tomorrow.

1. Have you thought about posting something in the Arizona forum....
Maybe a nice Tucsonite DU member will see it and have suggestions, even give you a place to stay.

Nothing good's going to come of this.
<<<has premonition of doom if she makes it to Tucson.
<<<premonitions are usually accurate.

With Amber's vast expanse of flesh weighing in at 250 pounds, she's going to tip the scales at 325 pounds, IF she manages to keep her packs at the aforementioned weights.
With that in mind, I think she should be forced to buy two bus tickets. I can't imagine being stuck next to somebody like her from Joplin all the way to Tucson.

Does the doom involve a pair of bracelets?

A franksolich premonition on Friday the 13th is definitely not a good sign..... :bolt:

2. Funny this is that most of those in the Arizona group comes to the lounge a lot!
But I am sure I can work this out. Monsoon time is close to over so many of what is known as Hardcore homeless with be wanting to get back to there places. That means that those needing the emergency 7 day shelter that most shelters supply are open.
So getting in the Salvation Army will be way easier. And I can get a lot of stuff done while I am in there. Stuff that if can get it done myself, it will speed out what Primavera can do for me.
And I will need to get a hold of what they call CODAK. I do suffer from PTSD thanks to the tornado and this with my ex SO has not help much.
So I can get my sessions started again, set up my Food Stamps, and start getting applications in (I have started on line already) . Things will be looking up.
:whatever:

Could.

.....as I walked from the room
carrying a broom
I had to fume
at a sense of gloom
and festering doom
the drear of the tomb
which made Khartuom
seem a rose in bloom.....

At least "Blink, blink, blink, blink" doesn't fit in the iamb for that one.

That is gotta be the understatement of the year, Frank! :cheersmate: :cheersmate:
This is just not gonna work out well for her.

I would feel sympathy for this illiterate nutcase if she was not so hell bent on being a parasite.
In that light I wish her nothing but misery and a short, useless life.

Oh, I don't know. That's a nice, long bus ride. Really long.
She would have time to tell you all about dreamy Dave and that rat Chad, and Crystal, and mom, and the convenient store, and Primavera, and Wishadoo!, and everything. She might even tell you about her book.
And while she's telling you all of that, with undisciplined 0bamaite kids running in the aisle screaming at each other, and the bus temperature way too hot or way too cool, and hour after hour of road noise, you would have lots of time to reflect on why you didn't stay in school so you could have afforded to fly.
It would be a great ride!

My spousal unit grew up a child of Obamaite parents, and they took the bus from San Antonio to Springfield, MO, once. She says it was exactly as you say, only with more Mexicans.

Well said.

The buses have wifi now. But they still suck... it's like a rolling Walmart.
-
Best of luck, Amber.
You're going to need all you can get.
