Oh my.

You know, I should've long ago taken a copyright out on "oh my" as the primitives seem to have adopted it too--from an obvious source--and franksolich brooks no imitators.

Fires, lighting strikes, flash floods, oh my

if you happen to be planning to go to the East County in San Diego today, you might want to think twice. We have a few fires (started by lightning), we have a thunderstorm that is spanning the radar return, no not kidding. roads have been washed out, oh my.

Suffice it to say, this is (not the heat) highly unusual weather for the San Diego East County and desert floor. Thunderstorms, and a monsoon weather pattern are not common. In fact, this is highly uncommon.

Yes, I am starting to see a changing weather pattern, which is consistent with the predictive patterns of Climate change. In the meantime, I hope we do not have a fire complex out of this. (that be multiple major fires)

1. Palm Springs here....

For the past week we have light clouds in the morning, very dark clouds by mid afternoon and the wind goes from calm to gusts every alternate half hour. Weird weather for us as well.

2. We were debating whether to not follow our own advise

and go out there, for the paper. But it is too dangerous to be honest. So unless we have a major fire, I am staying put listing to the scanner. The flash floor warnings are not to be taken lightly. The National Weather has an app that you can get alerts. (As well as a few others) it has not been quiet for more than two minutes all afternoon.

She's 'listing' to the scanner. Does that mean she's leaning toward the scanner? And I would imagine that a flash floor warning should be heeded.

oh my.

Seriously, from the beginning, I've started every primitive thread, and some non-primitive threads, this way.

A search of my comments clear back to the start, will show this.

It's usually used in the sense of "Oh my, look what I found here.  Isn't this interesting?" although some other times it's used as sarcasm, "Oh my, look how upset the primitives are about this trivial matter, like three-year-olds getting all bent out of shape because the sky's blue instead of orange."

Oh my. ™®

I know you have used the term for many years.

I have used it a lot on other boards, before I stumbled onto the ones I frequent now.

I'm also known for saying "oh my" or "oh boy" in person, in real life.
