Saw this thread earlier today. They want so badly for Dear Leader to attack and destroy Syria's chemical weapons, but they have to lay out the appearance as though killing innocent people would bother them. What they know is that innocents would be killed, and that would hurt their party image, which is their only concern. If killing innocents would guarantee them victory in the 2014 election, they'd demand it in a NY minute.

Quite a few of them are going on about how "the repukes just want Obama to fail" as the reason why so many of the GOP congress members are against retaliating against Syria for gassing its own citizens. - Couldn't be more wrong. Entering the Syrian civil war is the path to failure.
Obama's chances of success in Syria (if he chooses to enter) are about as good as one guy successfully breaking up a catfight.
