Once more, the famed liberal compassion is on display. Keep in mind these are the same people who cry themselves to sleep at night over the poor dears ar Club Gitmo:

Glenn Beck Falls Down Flight of Stairs
Glenn Beck's medical ailments continue to pile up. On his radio show this morning, fill-in host Pat Gray explained Beck fell down a flight of stairs. Gray said Beck is O.K. and we hear x-rays have turned up no broken bones. A Headline News spokesperson tells TVNewser Michael Graham will fill in on Beck's Headline News show tonight. Beck is expected back on the air tomorrow.

Jake, they're not necessarily stupid. More along the lines of incredibly hate-filled, to the point of being blinded to their own hypocrisy.

My apologies for my ignorance, but remember, television's not of any use to me.
Who is "Glenn Beck;" I recognize the name being that of a television personality, nothing more.
And Skins's island is full of bonfires where the primitives piously and sanctimoniously boast that they don't watch television, that they get their news from sources better than television--if so, how come the primitives seem to know quite a bit about television personalities then?

He is a conservative radio personality and more recently the token conservative on CNN Headline News.
Here is a link to his website: http://www.glennbeck.com/ (http://www.glennbeck.com/)

A message from Glenn:
I'm not sure who pushed me down the stairs, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the two Presidential candidates.
The bad news is I had to unexpectedly take some time off work, but I will be back on radio tomorrow; the good news is that we still don't have universal health care so my medical care was great; the best news is that there's no new YouTube video out about my butt.
Thanks for the well wishes.

Really, I don't know these people other than when they're mentioned in a news blurb or something--other than, of course, Rush Limbaugh (whose books I've read) and Bill O'Reilly (whose books I've read), and Mark Malloy or whatever his name is, that primitive favorite.
I know of Thom Hartmann or Pete Camejo, whichever one is the radio personality, but only because Doug's ex-wife is always getting tumescent over him, no other reason.
In today's television-and-noise-dominated world, it might seem incredible, but really, I don't know these people; if they were to walk by me on the sidewalk, they'd just be another Tom, Dick, or Harry to me.
I always mix up Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears, and Rosie O'Donnell and Roseanne Barr, and had no idea who Tom Russert was until after he was no longer with us.
Speaking from the perspective of a deaf person, surely it has to be a full-time job for hearing people, to keep up with all the personalities and celebrities, there's so many of them.
-
Glenn Beck can be somewhat amusing, but he's mostly "the sky is falling!!" of late.
he considers himself an independant, but is hard core about immigration (hates it) and has been saying for months that our economy is on the brink of collapse.
i only hear him a few minutes each morning when i'm taking my kiddo to school, but he's on early here (5am - 9 am) .. he's basically the anti-Rush the past six months or so..

And all you have to do to test that theory is mention the name of Bev Harris' former business partner. :fuelfire:

Glenn Beck isn't really in that group. His primary medium is radio (not a favorite amongst the deaf, I know). Rush, Beck and Hannity are the Conservative Radio Triumvirate (some may include O'Reilly and Savage -- it is a matter of taste).
The important thing about the people you list is that no one with an IQ above 25 cares what they say. Rush, OTOH. was targeted by no less than the U.S. Senate for silencing and was able to turn that event into a multi-million dollar bonanza for charity.

I like Glenn's show on CNN Headline News. He does tend to eyeroll too much but I find I agree with his arguments 99% of the time.
Frank, he has a few books out. Well worth the read if you stumble across in a book store or something.

It's nice to see that what passes for compassion on DU (unadulterated hatred) is still alive and and well. Proof that there is no evolution, DUers and cockroaches will never evolve in to thinking reasoning lifeforms.

I've seen that before, and it brought tears of joy to my eyes.
The most memorable picture is that of the USAID employee and his wife, downcast that the Bostonian Billionaire lost. I met many USAID employees in the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants, and they're all sanctimonious Democrat, liberal, and primitive assholes. It makes one wish for the spoils system.

If an idiot yells hate and nonsense into an echo chamber, does it make a sound?

There's sound on the andrews site, too?
Is that why, when one tries pulling down the sidebar on the right side of the computer monitor when at that site, it keeps going back up?
I thought it was just pictures, and what great pictures they are.
-
^yes, it's Glenn giving a speech. Very awesome. I'll try to find a transcript.

Sorry about that, Frank! I forgot you can't hear that. Yes, the original piece was aired the morning after the November 2004 election. Someone later put the segment to pictures.
In the radio segment he's laughing hysterically.

Whenever people want to be considered "independent" they seem to turn into self-righteous jerks.

and he did a great job - notice how the MSM didnt even notice it? he's got 20 million listeners a week - way more than the news shows. and they just didnt even talk about it once. that floored me. a private citizen getting hammered by the senate?? unbeliavable.
as for Beck, he is making a ton of money for his tv/radio gig. i heard/read he got 40 million for his contract at CNN.. which came about because of his radio show. i have no idea if that figuure is correct or not.. but hes made the big time now. i dont always algree with him.. but he has some interesting points of view.

I agree. Very smart people can be blinded by hate. Let's not act like them and attribute everything that disgusts us to them being stupid.
