There was a time when IdiotBriggs held as much clout on the island as Sir William the Pittiful. How the mighty have fallen (most likely off of the barstool) - http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023549299
I bleed red. I support intervention in Syria.
Honestly, I have supported it for a while now.
I want the US military to go in, remove that murdering asshole from power, escort his generals to the Hague, and then offer support to the people of Syria while they put the pieces back together.
The people of Syria are victims of murder by an oppressive government. They have done everything they can do, and at this point, somebody with a bigger stick needs to come in and save them from their oppressors.
Yes, I realize this is making the United States a "police force" against tyranny, oppression and murder. I am good with it. I don't want us to be there to "prop up" anyone.
I just want us to go in, take the bad guy out, and help out just like we would if a natural disaster took over - you know, let them tell us what they need, and then make sure supplies get where they need to be while the shock wears off.
Get in, take them out, offer the support decent human beings offer when a neighbor has gone through a tragedy, and then get out.
I have children. I am a human being. The families in Syria who are burying their dead are my brothers and sisters, and their children were supposed to be part of my future.
The world is both a small and a big place. State sanctioned murder of civilians - have you seen the photos of the dead? - is an abomination.
The number of dead should not be this high.
I support intervention in Syria.
The response is hilarious, read the whole thread.

I see no reason for the US to get into this "pissing duel between 2 skunks".
We have one muzzie faction killing another muzzie faction.
Muzzies killing muzzies.
I fail to see the downside to this.
-
Assad is an asshole, but so what. He almost passes for a decent human being as far as there are decent human beings in the middle east. His side actually includes Christians and Druze.
The rebels, the ones worth a damn anyway, are all Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood aligned scumbags. They'll use any tool that presents itself to get their self justified goals.
If the first thing you have to figure out isn't, "Who is the bad guy?", but instead, "Which particular group of assholes can we live with?" your little adventure is already in serious trouble.

That's the best description of this situation I've seen, but it looks like Obama is determined to drag us into it anyway.

I bleed red. I support intervention in Iraq.
Honestly, I have supported it for a while now.
I want the US military to go in, remove that murdering asshole from power, escort his generals to the Hague, and then offer support to the people of Iraq while they put the pieces back together.
What was her position on Saddam Hussein again? I forget.
-
Damn, I never that I'd muster one ounce of sympathy for Assad, but these people are making it kind of easy.
I'm old enough to remember when the left called this kind of plan a war crime. What happened?
-
They'll twist themselves into knots to support a D administration. Hypocrisy at its finest. Even the libs against attacking Syria are against it for the wrong reasons.
.
-
Q. Didn't al-Qaeda plan and carry out the 9-11 attacks on America?
A. Yes.
Next question.
Q. Then why are we loaning a nuclear aircraft carrier to al-Qaeda to help them overthrow the secular Assad regime?
A. The muzzie brotherhood and al-Qaeda are Sunni muslims. The jug-eared muslim in the White House is a Sunni muslim.

Can the "Nobel peace prize" be rescinded?
It has been relegated to the same status as stinkDUdes laughing stocks of the interwebtubes.
It's a joke, unlike stinkDUdes, where it's real.

What was her position on Saddam Hussein again? I forget.
Thinking the exact same thing.....

156. Precisely.
If the OP bleeds red, they sound like they are offering up their own blood to back up their stance on this. What better way to do it than to enlist?
Great post.

138. Two things
Having others dying for your blood lust is what chickenhawks do.
Secondly, what if the WMD's were deployed by a rebel faction? It is not 100% clear who did it.
Thirdly, go read the pnac site

What was her position on Saddam Hussein again? I forget.
How well I remember, even though it was years ago.
The IdiotBriggs primitive was actually one of the premier supporters of Saddam.
I guess with her, it depends upon who's president.
-
There was a time when IdiotBriggs held as much clout on the island as Sir William the Pittiful.
I date her decline beginning in the late spring of 2005, when she went with a tour group--on someone else's dime, not hers--for a couple of weeks in Egypt, and came back, proclaiming that women had more rights in Egypt than they do here.
But some lonely soul called her on it, after which she went to pieces.
She later re-emerged as the whining landlady getting ripped off by tenants.
This was going on while we were at our old home, and I had plenty of arguments with LibraryLady, the nemesis of the big guy in Bellevue until his friends came along last year, as she "felt sorry" for the IdiotBriggs primitive, who had several miscarriages. As far as I was concerned, the primitive wasn't getting near the misery she deserved.
-
One thing I have learned while hanging out in that part of the world, is sometimes there are assholes on both sides of the equation. You have to decide which asshole better suits your endgame. Unfortunately this administration has no endgame. Granted Assad is a jackass, but at times he can be reasoned with, but Al Qaeda forget it.

What about your children? How about sending them to fight?

46. Well, like many of the dead, they are too young (being six).
I've known about the shit in Syria for YEARS; my kids went to school with other kids who have relatives there, the last school my kids were at had systems in place for dealing with the kids who had personally witnessed the violence because THEY LIVED THROUGH IT, and my current daycare provider immigrated from Syria, and I trust his analysis of the situation a lot more than I trust yours.
Dumb bitch. You support removing this one when it's a ****ing Democrat in office and with NO congressional approval, but didn't support removing the other one in Iraq, WITH congressional approval because it was a Republican. They both were the same damn thing, but one, Saddam, was a helluva lot more brutal. You are THE worst type of DUmbass. And what kind of ****ing insight can you get from a damn 6 year old on Syria, just because he goes to school with other 6 year olds? My guess? You're lying your ****ing ass off.
Go enlist, bitch.

A beautiful synopsis to one like yours truly who didn't know that background.

Well, damn it, for those who don't know and are curious about something--such as a primitive's past--they're supposed to feel free to ask.
<<<has never squawked at having to answer questions, excepting about what happened to the late red round one.
<<<prefers to not discuss the late red round one, but that's the only exception.

Hey IDA, you DUmbass...

I think she knows more about Syria than your f'n 6 year old's friends.
This is shows McCain doing what he does best, giving us proof that his crusty old ass should have been booted from office decades ago.
-
^He's almost incompetent enough to be promoted to president.

That's the best description of this situation I've seen, but it looks like Obama is determined to drag us into it anyway.
I completely believe this is what the Bummer wants. He's had the Muslim Brotherhood in thru the front door of the Whitehouse.
You'll never make me believe this isn't coordinated with the Jihadists in the Middle East. Just too many koinky dinks. Bummer has had more than one run in with the radicals and has always sided with them.
If it looks like a duck..............See them eedy beedy eyes?

I saw a replay of an interview of Dennis Kucinich on FNC (done yesterday) this morning. He says that if this gest rejected in the House, which seems to be the way it's going now, and Obama strikes anyway--that's an impeachable offense to him. The DUmp would be apoplectic, and we all could do this:
 :fuelfire:
The thing is, Obama may try to pin this on the House Republicans--but they would be doing what their bosses, the people who elected them, told them to do. 'The will of the people' and all that. Exactly what the DUmp says that it reflects. :whistling:

Grayson is the nuttiest congressman only because The Kootch is no longer there.
Impeaching the jug-eared Kenyan is the worst possible idea. First, it just sounds like the Bush Derangement Syndrome, and it wouldn't succeed, making conservatives look even crazier than the liberal press has already successfully painted them.
If it succeeded it would be even worse. Slow Joe Biden would be given the huge advantages that come with incumbency in 2016.
