I GOT THE TICKET!!!

Last edited Wed Aug 28, 2013, 01:41 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
It is in my hands right now! This is going to happen. But not with as much money as I need. I will have to figure out that one. I am getting charged by work for an $85 gas problem. The boss pushed the button of the wrong pump, but it is my pass code that was in the register. And tonight, the register was $70+ short and that is going to hurt.

I can't wait for Tucson!

Things that make you go HUMMMMM.

I wonder is there really is a wishadoo benefactor?

Typical Dummie fashion, always somebody else that caused the problem.

The till will come up short by a lot more than $70 on her last night.

My first thought too but then figured most likely a lie to set the stage for needing money from her fellow DUmbasses.

Even if in the incredibily unlikely event someone else stole the money, DUmmies, it's still YOUR responsibility.

Ain't it funny how that works?

It takes a major type of person to do it! This is way harder on the nerves than I thought it would be. My nerves are fried anyway, this has been overload!

And don't get me started on the stuff that has happen with my paycheck already! I have lost money even before I get it!

To who it may concern: If you are job hunting, this job is NOT for the faint of heart!
One wonders what college this DUmmy went to.  There must have been no requirement for any written essays, research papers, etc.

No, I don't see a problem with this.

How many cash transactions can she handle working the graveyard shift and end up 70-85 dollars in the hole? Most people buying gas that time of day would be using a credit card. The welfare queens that party all night on other people's money would be using a bridge card for their pot induced munchie attack for Hostess Twinkies.

I can't envision more than a few hundred in cash sales and she still managed to "misplace" a large chunk of that money.

As to the mgr. punching the wrong button, then there would be a surplus of 70-85 dollars somewhere else.

Something isn't right.

AYFKM?  I did convenience store work in college.  Yeah, it was boring.  The worst part were the drive-offs--this was in the days before pay-at-the-pump and the owner had a policy of never making customers pre-pay, with the expected results.  All I could do was take down the plate if I could get it, file a police report, and hope the boss didn't get too pissed off--and he didn't because what could he do?  It was HIS policy, despite my suggestion to "lock down" the pumps after dark.

Do a little mopping/cleaning, toss the nacho cheese once a week (I'll never eat that shit) and run a register.  Blast the radio when nobody is there, which is most of the time.  About the only real fear I had was someone robbing the place, but never happened.

5. I just set it up for the Wishadoo that I set up for the bus ticket. But then someone here got it for

me. But with the way the job is going and all that my family is demanding before I go ( they now know about the ticket and are furious. They are threatening to to get a legal hold on me if I don't pay up) I wanted to see if I can get help with some money to help me wile I was setting up in Tucson.

So the Paypal is at $0.00 right now. So I don't know if they will issue me a card or how fast it will get to me before Oct 5th.

No doubt.  Guess the CEO position at a Fortune 500 within 6 months of graduation (which, in itself, is ridiculous) isn't working out.

Just what do these entitled, coddled defectives think a job is? I ask rhetorically.   If a Convenience Store gig is a mind blower, what makes you think you rate a $15.00/hr + minimum wage for anything?

Damn, you're going to heighten the perverse paranoia of the primitives.

We don't have "supersleuths" here, not even plain ordinary "sleuths."

It's simply that we have an extraordinary talent for coming across material by sheer accident and random chance, and are duly appreciative of serendipity, finding something when looking for something else.

How different from the primitives, we are.

I doubt that.  Your family is probably preparing a going away party, scheduled of course for the day after you leave.  Sometimes you just have to cut your loses even if it is family.

I suspect her loving family is genuinely concerned for her, and she should pay attention to them.

If not, Missouri being a red state rather than a corrupt blue state, I imagine the accommodations in the insane asylums there are better than those to be found in, for example, Massachusetts or Maryland, which should give her some comfort.

She implied earlier that all she owed her family was some rent.  I'm guessing there is a lot more money involved.  I worked in a grocery store many years ago and $2 or $3 short on a register over an 8 hour shift would generate a shit storm.

You know, she's really stupid.

She was with the old guy for ten years in a "relationship."

Which illustrates why I'm no fan of cohabitation without a marriage-license.

Ten years was plenty of time for her to drag him to the altar, and if she'd done that, she'd have him by the balls right now.  As it is, because "love doesn't need 'a piece of paper,'" she's out in the cold, minus both him and his assets.

Oh for crying out loud, just how useless is this woman????  I worked as a cashier at Kmart one summer between my junior and senior years of college and it was the easiest job in the world.  And this was before NCR programmed its registers to automatically know which items were taxable and which were non-taxable (for example, shampoo was non-taxable as it's deemed a necessity, but conditioner was taxable as it's a "luxury" item).  So I just used common sense and never had a problem with my till.

These DUmmies all better have shoes with velcro closures because I doubt they could even figure out how to tie a shoelace!  :mental:   :loser:

As I said on an earlier thread about her.  BA in communications, "journo" and retail experience notwithstanding, she only ever had one thing worth selling.  Unfortunately the old guy turned her over and noted the expiration date was long expired.  She needs to set up an E-Bay acct get a little red wagon and start shopping garage and estate sales.

You know, a marriage license is always a woman's best friend.

We men are always going to be men, no matter how desperately the feminazis and social architects try to change us into women.  There are some things that can never be changed, or even slightly altered, and so best to accept and adapt.

Even the Russians abandoned Lysenkoism decades ago.

I can't tell you how many times in this life I've heard, "oh, but love doesn't need a piece of paper"......only to be besieged, some several months or a few years later, by some hysterical woman complaining that he left her out in the cold, and that she has no "rights" in the matter, even if she supported both of them in the past.

Stupid women, who sell their selves without that ostensibly meaningless piece of paper.

True story.

There was a obese woman that was a janitor where I worked. She wore lace-up tennis shoes. She was always asking her male counterpart to tie her shoe. One day I asked her how she tied her shoes before coming to work. She told me that she was a foster mother and that she had her foster kids tie em.

I hope so.

I haven't seen her lately.

I think we'd have a news piece on Fox & Friends First at the end of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" segment.

Perhaps this is purely anecdotal -

But I realized that I haven't seen a gas station with a 'Pump First' policy in at least a decade. If this is true nationwide, I can't see how its possible for any of the 'mistakes' described to happen.

Casey's convenience stores allow "pump first", at least in Kansas.

Casey's stores also have lots and lots of surveillance cameras.

Ditto for Nebraska, as do places other than Casey's.

Where I keep the books, the policy is this, since the surveillance cameras although good, aren't sharp enough to catch license-plate numbers (the cameras after all have to cover a lot of space):

"Pump and then pay" is okay if the clerk knows the customer, or if it's a vehicle with a company name painted on it, after which there's a whole lot of grey area where the clerk has to make his own judgement, and then:

Out-of-state license plates and "in transit" stickers (rather than license-plates) are mandatory pay-first.

No one around here seems to have a whole lot of problems, especially since the primitives likely to try it are few, and known.

Same in my area.  The attendant at the place I go regularly waves at me from inside the store to let me know the pump is on (it does not have the 'pay at the pump' card swipe thing, one has to go inside to pay).  I've seen it happen for several other regulars, but usually the customer must make the trek inside to pay first, or let the attendant hold a credit card.)

This store only has two pumps.

You know, a marriage license is always a woman's best friend.

An interesting point in that vein, in England the marriage certificate is given to the woman not to the man - it is her property as it her claim on the man and that which is his.

Gas drive off after she ok'd a purchase but didn't write down license info. As a cop, that is my bet.

They still have drive-offs?

The gas station I go to won't turn the pumps on after 5pm unless they know you as a regular customer. They don't have drive offs since they started doing that.

There are plenty of places that don't require pre-pay around here yet.

We are 100% pre-pay, or swipe at the pump.  No matter who you are.  There are also C-stores where they card you for beer and smokes no matter what.  It could be your own mother.  It could be an obviously 95 year old gent.  You could have produced the license 100 times before to the same clerk.

(This is because in NY, if they catch you selling these to a minor, they will sieze your entire business).

Lady Freedom Returns (5,822 posts)

Well I have most of the debts paid,...
Will be getting one more paycheck to finish it off.

Will hand in my two week notice Sat. due to him taking a business trip the vacation. He will more than likely just dismiss me after I tell him but I won't worry about that now. That part is sorta out of my hands.

I places a post on Wishadoo to help with money for when I get there. I don't expect to have much from what checks from the job I might have.

I still need to get resume info updated.

I get my prepaid Debit card by mail soon so on the 4th I will need to go online and fill up my city bus pass for Tucson. Glad I kept it!

WOW!! So much to do! I am so happy!!!!!

I will be easy for her to get on welfare. The welfare dept. will know that it's incapable of maintaining steady employment due to a DUmb syndrome.

I have a little dream..

My Dream at this point is to get back to Tucson (Oct. 5th that is going to happen), learn to drive, get back behind a studio camera, and get a nice Studio Apartment.

Is that to much to try for?

2. It will be a reach.

First I have to find a job that will give me a chance since I will have to Shelter jump. Then I can get a real mailing address so the T.V. Studios will at less look at me. I will be hard enough without my transcripts.

But In there somewhere I need to find someone willing to teach me how to drive.

Dad always used the excuses of how we could not afford it. Even when I had the money to pay for the gas he would use the insurance as the excuse. Could not afford it to go up due to me.

But I think Tucson does have a driving school...

Yeah, pretty sure they do. If not, you may need to commute to the driving school in Phoenix. Same state.

Which reminds me....whatever happened to rsmithnumbers?

I know he's pretty busy with his sophomore year in truck driving school, but the bouncies have dried up completely.

Just so I understand, there is a DUmmy, self-proclaimed college grad, over 30, who cannot drive and still blames this on Dad.

Was there no opportunity to learn while living with the love of her life prior to being kicked to the curb for poor house-keeping?  The love of life never taught her?  She had no friends/acquaintances who could have taught her?

Pitiful, really.

I had a dad like that too so I empathize with her. That really is about control since one can have their license and still not drive the family car if that is the issue. Thing is I had a boyfriend in high school teach me. I went a couple months after my 18 th birthday when I no longer needed a parent to sign for me and my boyfriend who taught me kindly allowed me to use his vehicle for the driving test.  I really could not afford a reliable car until I was 23 but at least I had the card to my freedom when the time came. :) SHE allowed herself to stay desperate and reliant on others. She did that to herself.

True story.

There was a obese woman that was a janitor where I worked. She wore lace-up tennis shoes. She was always asking her male counterpart to tie her shoe. One day I asked her how she tied her shoes before coming to work. She told me that she was a foster mother and that she had her foster kids tie em.

At least the lady was working and providing a home for foster kids.

Your limitations are too severe.

Your best bet is to look into assisted living:

There are times when many must try to find happiness without love in your life.
There are many that have loved and loss. Many that are in such pain that they don't even want to think about love anymore.

Some loss love due to death, other for reasons they don't understand. But we have to go on. But if you have had that one heart song you know. When you have had that and loses it, you have to find happiness without that love.

If she gets back to Arizona, Chad is a dead man.

I really cannot understand her mentality.  She is leaving a situation where she has a full time job, a roof over her head, and food in her belly for what appears to be a reasonable cost to go live in homeless shelters and cross her fingers that she will be able to get a job?  I understand that she doesn't get along with her family, but that does not require one to leave the state.  The best plan, assuming that there is no actual abuse occurring, would be to price out a studio in the area and squirrel away every penny possible to get together the first and last month's rent.  A 2nd part time job might not be a bad idea either if she only able to find a minimum wage job.

Don't overlook the part where she wants to reconnect with her male friend that threw her to the curb.

In typing this, I realized that she is full of it as there are no women at the DUmp that have relationships with those of the opposite gender.

I agree.

Even when I lived in the Midwest many of the c-stores had a starting wage of $9 to $10 an hour and that was ten years ago. They offered more money due to the high turn over, the hours, and the other inherent conditions that came with the job. They were hoping to hire someone that would stick around after the training was done.

She has some major balls on her. She ordered a pre-paid debit card from paypal. It's the kind where people with bad credit put money into an account, then use it like a credit card, as long as they don't overdraw their own money. The financial institution takes no risk with this type of card.

Thing is, she has no plan to donate money into this account. She wants other people to donate to her account. First for moving then for bills and living expenses after she arrives in AZ.

Yup. She can transfer her paypal balance directly onto the paypal card to use as a debit card with ATM privileges.
