Hi5 for the poll.

I really don't know but I wonder if DB himself didn't delete those FB posts - pretty sure he'd have to have had access to the webpage.

I saw his OP delete - too late - but today, he seems to have been hanging out in the video forum. He posted in his thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017141014

and a couple of more before he did the self-delete. I wonder if he even went in to work today.

My vote, thin ice.  People that he works with that are catching wind of the scandal must be enjoying watching him twist.  He can't be very popular...he's a DUmmy.

If he kept his job...wouldn't be out doing the church lady victory dance?
 I think his silence is telling.

and Tess, I hadn't even thought he would skip out on work today. That could make things worse. If the boss is ticked at you, don't call in sick: that only makes it worse (yet another lie).

He posted that stuff in the evening, Sunday, before going to work the next morning (if he in fact went to work today).

My guess is, if he hasn't been fired, he's at least up to his neck in hot water.

It couldn't happen to a better primitive.

I'm guessing he has a lot of 'splainin to do... but he still has a job, for now.

It's funny- for a bunch of stupid knuckledraggin' rethugs, CCers seem to have a knack for finding DUmmies based on the stupid crap they post.    :cheersmate:

What?  No, "Teh JOOOOOOOOOOSSSS!!!!!" option?

I mean, it IS a DU poll.  And if he's in fact still employed, he's got some serious ass kissing to do yet.

Yes, the FB of the gearhart chevy dealership.

He posted that stuff in the evening, Sunday, before going to work the next morning (if he in fact went to work today).

Not in the same time zone as BD, but his OP delete shows up to me on PDT. These are the posts I was talking about:

I wonder if Ms. Schumacher-Tilton has been able to wade through her in-box yet.

It really filled up over the weekend.

I picked fired. One can hope but then again it's more likely that John Wayne will rise from the Dead first.

Still employed but on thin ice!

Although it's been absent from posting on DUmbass central for a few days.

We may never know. One day in the not so distant future, it will post an announcement of its retirement. By his own choosing, naturally.

Yeah--I agree.  The ice is rapidly becoming thinner, and it's warming up.  His days are numbered.

I vote thin-ice, I would guess a formal warning of some sort.

If nothing had happened then he wouldn't have deleted; if he'd got away with it, then he'd be bragging.

If he'd been sacked he'd be complaining about the unfairness of the world.

I voted thin ice.  I'm imagining that he got one of those humiliating workplace lectures; where a grown person is giving another grown person an embarrassing reprimand behind a closed door.  And all the co-workers know it.  You emerge from that door very much diminished in the eyes of everyone else.

I've always been careful to avoid situations like that.

Oh, I have no doubt everybody at the dealership knows of it.

Maybe even some customers too.

Anyway, actually it would be better if he were fired, so he'd hit bottom.  You know the idea of "hitting bottom," where there's no way but up.  Dougie needs to hit bottom.

And then after that, he should seek out a private place, get down on his knees, and admit to God that he's made a really big mess of his life, and then after that:

(a) go to his former employers and apologize for having been such an asshole; it probably wouldn't get him his old job back, but it might at least get him a good recommendation from them for some other job elsewhere, such as bussing tables at the neighborhood McDonald's;

(b) go to his former co-workers and apologize for having been such an asshole;

(c) go to the Internal Revenue Service and start making payments on those past taxes he owes them;

(d) go to church every Sunday, and be respectful of the priest;

(e) go to his former wife and apologize for having seen such an asshole, and make further amends by doubling the alimony he's supposed to be paying her;

(f) go to his adult daughter, with whom he's very close, and apologize to her for the ways he treated her mother;

(g) observe the Ten Commandments;

(h) respect dumb animals, calling them "dogs" and "cats" rather than this baby-talk "woggies" and "kittehs;" animals can sense when one's mocking them;

(i) learn to love George Bush, George Bush Sr., and Ronald Reagan, who were after all nice guys; and

(j) observe and celebrate the holy day of Christmas every year.

This may sound like a tall order, but he's got to do all of it, every single bit of it, if he hopes to go into old age in peace and serenity.  If he skips doing even the least little thing, he'll find his hoary decreptitude a hard row to hoe.

I have very mixed feelings about this. When you think about it for a moment this is the desire and goal of every DUmmie, FUNemployment for 99weeks then on to SSDI when the benefits really start to kick in.

He can kick back and spout off on DU every waking drug filled moment while we pay for it's steak and lobster.  In his current position he can do no harm and is at the very least paying into the system rather than draining it. Just saying.

Apparently he hadn't been "paying into the system," given those back income taxes due since 2005 (or 2007; I forget which year).

That's the route that was chosen by the drunken Pitt's wallduded mother, DUmmy Raven.

I'm pretty sure we'll get the skinny on DUmmy Doug Bulna. There are dozens of phone numbers listed for the dealership he vandalized.

Many of them will be getting calls asking to speak to Crazy Doug. They're already getting emails with his posting history.

At the very least a reputation for being a lazy jobsworth whom the bosses would rather not see again.

An observation.

I've noticed the DB types on the island, and in society in general, tend to be in their early to mid 60's and who were the "flower children" or were of the 1960's era. They had these dreams their generation would change the world, that they were going to buck the establishment, that once they got into power that peace and love would reign.

When the 80's came along, some of them (from their viewpoint) sold out and went from Hippies to Yuppies. Those that hung on finally got a president from their generation in Clinton. But after 2 years he lost the House and spent the rest of his term, in their words, being "the best Republican president ever."

Bush43 stole the election from Gore, of course, but he wasn't off their ilk anyway.

Along came Dear Leader, and he was going to finally be the one. The 60's generation was getting old, and their chances of changing the world into the utopia they just knew it could be was running out. Well, that hasn't quite worked out the way they wanted, either.

So the DB's are becoming more and more frustrated as they see the years, and their chances, quickly disappearing and they're lashing out. In Doug's case, he's fighting "against the man" the only way he can, as insignificant as it is. Others on the island are vocally become more and more outlandish in their viewpoints and their "demands."

They're at the end of their lives, and they failed.

I rarely see DUmmies under 40. One would think DU would attract them. I would guess they do not welcome under 40.

I must admit I have had similar thoughts but then I realize they may actually have won.  How?

Young Voters Supported Obama Less, But May Have Mattered More

In winning reelection, Barack Obama won 60% of the vote among those younger than 30. That was down somewhat from 2008, when Obama won nearly two-thirds (66%) of the votes of young people. However, Obama’s youth support may have been an even more important factor in his victory this year than it was in 2008.

The divide between young voters and older voters was as stark this year as it was in 2008. While Obama lost ground among voters younger than 30, he still won this age group by 24 points over Mitt Romney (60% to 36%). He also maintained a slimmer advantage among voters 30 to 44 (52% Obama, 45% Romney), while losing ground among those 45 to 64 and those 65 and older.

What that tells me is that the 'chillen of the Boomers have been subverted by Big Ed which is owned lock, stock, and barrel, by the Boomer Generation's most liberal members.  They are good little progressive progeny who march in lock step with gore-bull warming, homosexuality, secular humanism, and woman's reproductive rights.  They are true believers in the God of Government, not the God of Our Fathers.

The generation of Peace and Love may be dying off but the legacy lives on in the seed they have planted.  Think about this, in the sixties you could smoke a cigarette in public without fear of public scorn. Today?  You see groups of smokers huddled like hoods in the freezing cold.
