Oh my.
By the way, there's a "good news" forum on Skins's island; I just hours ago discovered it. This isn't from there, though, but it's reasonably representative of the primitives patting themselves on their asses.

About 2 hours ago, one of the neighbor's kids knocked on my door
He asked me if I needed my lawn mowed. And yes, that grass sure was shaggy! And, as I am still on crutches, there is no way I'm going to mow it. So I asked him, "How much?" By this time, his little brother had joined him on my porch. His answer was, "$20 ?". I said, "It's a big yard, how about $25 ?". I always bargain, you see. I also offered to let them use my mower in addition to theirs, so that it would take less time. They were then joined by a third young neighbor with a weedeater. One hour later, my grass looks great! And I handed them $30, so it was easy to split up.....
School starts on Monday, I think that these kids now have school supplies for the coming year.

2. A big thumbsup to you and those kids...
I don't think I'm "locked in the 50s", but I surely do appreciate when teens show initiative and try to earn the money they spend.
Good for you for making it possible and treating them fairly.

4. Those kid are just precious! They are our future!
We live out here in the Texas outback, not many jobs to be had out here. In our little town of 1600 people out here on the prairie, we have no resources other than the jobs for our adult population. I, myself, commute 50 miles each way to my job every day, to live in a town with no crime, and a real sense of community. If I can help them out, so much the better.

5. Yes he does.
Not to be nosy, Trailrider151, but do you have an injury or arthritis or? If you don't feel like answering, no big deal. My back is starting to reflect it's age; I'm so fortunate that my husband is still super active.
Good for you, after listening to many of the excellent speeches from DC today, I once again realize how these small acts of kindness from a person like you can make all the difference.

I have a fractured leg bone and and a badly-sprained ankle. Those kids are a godsend.

9. They'll be back.
Probably would have done it for $15 if you'd chiseled them down.
I'm partially disabled myself, and I pay well for those that help.
I provide snacks, juices, make them take breaks (paid) -
Even cook lunch (my own food) for them if it is a full day.
And they come back, and work their buns off.
It pays back to be nice to people.
As you may well know.
AND IT FEELS GOOD!

Yet, it's just peachy with you that governments run us bankrupt with unearned money and people draw lifetime welfare, unearned.

More likely he told the kids he would pay them next week when the welfare/disability check comes in. This is at least the second thread for them to brag about their generosity today. I am amazed they can't see how insecure and self absorbed this shit makes them look.
-
I've been known to kick in a few more bucks for those that help.
Don't crow about it on CC, or anyplace else.
DUmpmonkey is looking for cred and validation from the primitives.
No bong.

I cannot believe a racist like DUmmy Trailridernumbers is allowed posting privileges at the DUmp.
"Town with no crime", indeed! Why doesn't he come out and say "all-white"?
Why doesn't he admit he endures an awful commute just to avoid diversity?
Diversity is our greatest strength, isn't it? Even though it means being awash in violent crime?

I'm hearing all kinds of dog whistles. Anyone else ?

I swear DUmmies would brag about handing a roll of toilet paper to the guy in the next stall and expect to be praised for being such a wonderful person.

Last night, I had to deal with a couple of non-English-speaking Texans who were trying to get to South Dakota.
Of course it wouldn't have made any difference if they did know English, because I wouldn't be able to hear them anyway.
At one point I uttered "Yankton?"
Their eyes lit up; si, si, Yankton.
So they knew Yankton; we were finally getting somewhere.
I wanted to tell them it was 65 miles straight up the highway to Yankton, but then remembered my cousin's homeland is probably on the silly metric system, with centimeters and all that, and so "miles" wouldn't mean anything to them.
I finally said "Yankton, one hour, one hour," pointing north on the highway, my single raised index finger indicating the number. "Yankton, one hour."
They were so deliriously happy they genuflected to me.
I felt ten feet tall, being such a nice guy, such an awesomely magnanimous person, so kind and generous in helping a couple of lost strangers.

Maybe the illegals will overshoot and wind up in Canada?.......but they'll still be able to vote democrat.

Yeah, working odd jobs in order to buy school supplies. ::)
-
Hope he has liability insurance. Letting three kids use power tools on your property is just asking for trouble.
Even Obama's Admin. has pushed through laws against family farmers' children working on their own farms.
Oh, and if he thinks a kid can buy all his school supplies for $10 he must be as old as dirt or never raised any kids.
-
Yeah, working odd jobs in order to buy school supplies. ::)
Yeah, sure, school supplies.....like they don't pinch every responsible citizens pocket for "school supplies" for the free lunch crowd every year.
-
Oh, and if he thinks a kid can buy all his school supplies for $10 he must be as old as dirt or never raised any kids.
One clue about primitive screen-names.
The primitives are notoriously uncreative when making up their screen-names--one thinks of poor stupid Beth of Scamdal infamy as "sfexpat2000" for example--and if there's numbers in their screen-names, sometimes it's significant.
This is the Trailrider1951 primitive; "1951" was either the year he was born, or the year he graduated from high school. I suspect it's reasonable to assume he was born in 1951.
Another example: the William769 primitive; he was born in July 1969.
There's others, but I'm too tired to think of them at the moment. But pay attention to the numbers some primitives put in their screen-names; sometimes they mean something.
-
I personally think he/she ripped those kids off.
-
I can't stand these self-back slapping threads. So he made a fair transaction, mutually agreed to. Everybody does this every minute of every day!
98ZJUSMC, I've seen a pic of GreenPartyVoter. Dumpy frumpy female with big heavy white legs.
Dori, king zero wanted to, but all kinds of torches and pitchforks came out, (including my area), and Congress somehow squashed it. Farms need the kids, and kids need the farms.
-
I like to know what DUmmie Trailridernimbers has against illegal aliens/undocumented workers/unwelcome long-term immigrants that he hired a bunch of American kids to do the job the Mexicans are here to do because Americans don't want to do those jobs.
F'n racist!

My hearing dog heard that dog whistle. She's black, so I hope she's not offended.

^Haah !

Oh, and if he thinks a kid can buy all his school supplies for $10 he must be as old as dirt or never raised any kids.
The supply lists I've seen recently are amazing. If every kid brought in everything on his list, they'd need a new school building.

The schools around here are terrible. They not only want each kid to bring in a long list of supplies (which they pool and share in the classroom). Then they ask for donations of paper (reams) and other things for the classroom too. The kids also have to have a backpack, lunch box and their own personal supplies like notebooks, composition books, pencils, colored pencils and pens.
That's before you even buy clothes, shoes etc.
It costs a small fortune to outfit a kid to start the new school year.
-
(which they pool and share in the classroom).
The first I heard of this, my jaw hit the floor. My parents went through the same ordeal every year before school started of buying the proscribed workbooks and paper... if I had been asked to empty my bag to "share" with the other people in the class, I don't know if I would have kept quiet and let it happen.
There were always some losers in the class that didn't bring paper or pencils but the teachers always seemed to be prepared.
-

And that's before you figure in the "recommended" iPad.
In the blue hellhole ghetto schools, they give the kids iPads.
-
Yeah, working odd jobs in order to buy school supplies. ::)
Well in their world remember( the dummies) the patents have no responsibility for Raising their own children financially or otherwise so it's logical to him that a child would be doing menial jobs for necessities. Im surprised he didn't suggest a government program instead of giving them cash; of course he should have asked them to layabout his lawn and drink booze in order to fulfill the requirements of that type of compensation.
Dummies...a clue it is MY job as a parent to provide necessities like basic school supplies. In a world where parents do their duty children generally work odd jobs for both extra goodies like special clothes or spending money in their pocket. School supplies...good grief.

:rotf: I think I spent 80 bucks last year just for school supplies for two teens....and I did it cheap and didn't buy everything on the list! This person does not have children! :rotf:
-

They do and they throw it all in a damn box and everyone shares it. Nope, not I! no more.

Yup she did, send her 3 dozen Girl Scout boxes of cookies she deserves it for trying to beat up an old lady.
Anyway this bit on buying school supplies for the kids is odd. School is compulsory, some states haul in the parents to court if the kids skip school.
State taxes pay for the schools, so why do not the schools supply the things the students will need ?
If attending a State run school is the law of the land, why do the family have to buy their supplies ?
The people with or without kids in school pay for the schools why double tax the people with kids ?
The family's of kids that go to jail do not have to buy their clothing or other supplies. Do not have to buy their food or the BASIC necessaries of life.
So why does a child with no choice but to go to school have to have others buy their necessity's to attend.
Kids today need computers, stuff for Lab work, need at the least text books paper and pencil.
Gym clothing and gear to play a sport, proper shoes to do so. the same lunch as a prisoner would get for free.
OH yes the school district is too poor to afford all this----The Principal makes $120,000 a year and the
Superintends of the school district make $190,000,00 .
Cry poor mouth, the kids have to bring in their own paper and pencils.
Now April, all this pissed off me all to crap, has me low on sugar, can you spare a couple cookies ??
