OK. Maybe I haven't been paying sufficient attention, but WHY does Russia support Syria and Hassan?
They supply Syria with arms, right?

Is it to piss us off?

Or what?

I know, I should have been paying more attention. Well, now I am.

Well, CalPig, the guy in Syria is Assad, not Hassan, but if you've seen one muzzie you've seen 'em all, right?

8. I've heard this a lot, yes. Syria is Russia's toehold in the Middle East

stevenumbers loves the Middle East. He dreams about those harems they all have.

2. Just my observation
I believe Putin aka Russia sees an oppressive dictator as 'better than' a steeped in religion Muslim government . . . Religion being the opium of the people and whatnot.

The muzzies fighting against Assad are al Qaeda, hence the jug-eared Kenyan's interest in vilifying Assad.
Assad, a dictator, is nonetheless the last secular politician standing in the muzzie world, and infinitely preferable to al Qaeda.

And anyone who doesn't suspect it was the al Qaeda "rebels" who gassed those people for propaganda against Assad is a fool.

5. Because Assad is secularist and Russia has been fighting Islamists for a few centuries
Bingo.

And the jug-eared muslim always prefers the muzzies.

We need a trained historian to chime in on this.

Absolutely.  We've seen the press and Congress buy into atrocity propaganda without all the cards being on the table time after time from Gulf I (Hell, Viet Nam), I am very leery of this stuff, especially if our Prez is dumb (Or manipulative) enough to claim something is a 'Tripwire' for our involvement, because then whichever side wants us in will bend every effort to making that tripwire event happen even if they have to do it themselves.  If Assad's forces were going to resort to chemical agents, given how much of it they supposedly have, why would they just use it once or twice in a small way?  It seems just as probable that a militia, probably but not necessarily a rebel one, got hold of some agent in the chaos that is Syria and decided to use it on one of the rivals, killing two birds with one stone if they were a rebel group.

It smells of set-up.

Methinks someone spent so many decades supporting every enemy of the US she can't rationally separate her talking points. She's supposed to hate Assad even though they were Soviet clients since ever but she loved the Soviets because Reagan hated them but Obama hates Reagan too and Kennedy loved the Soviets. And they want to support AQ-Syria because they're the same as AQ-Iraq who killed imperialist US troops and Obama says we should prefer them so she'll ignore the possibility that maybe AQ-Syria staged the attack (and maybe with Saddam's old stockpiles).

Russia is also backing the Egyptian military against the Muslim Brotherhood.  Putin is anti-terrorist which is why Obama doesn't like Putin.

Right now, Assad has the upper hand on the battlefield and the al Qaeda muzzies are getting a little desperate.

Why would Assad risk getting the U.S. involved now, especially since he knows our democrat government is pro-al Qaeda?

Makes no sense. And Syria has shitloads of chemical weapons, courtesy of Saddam Hussein's shell game ten years ago.

They aren't anti-terrorist. Putin oversaw the agency that bred and trained most of the jihadist outfits we see today. I'll wager he personally handled several clients.

However, he does know a winning horse when he sees one and he knows a US president has been rendered impotent by feckless, rudderless policy. If Putin can stick a thumb in Obama's eye and pull Egypt into Russia's camp he'll be happy even if that means casting off a former minion.

Remember how DU celebrated Obama putting on his big girl panties and snubbing Putin at the WTO summit? Now it looks like Obama is just wearing ass-less chaps and bending over.

The DUmmies thought Obama was playing three dimensional chess, when in reality he has been playing tiddlywinks while Putin is a grandmaster at three dimensional chess.

Is anyone really surprised that Calpig is confused. Especially on a site with a breaking news section.
Methinks CalPig has been haunting too many bathhouses to pay attention to the news.
Or perhaps its Aids induced dementia

This.

Our inaction prezzy has shown, without a doubt, he out of his league. The world watches, Obumbles.

He just needs a couple of new red lines (and a few white lines too).

While Putin, the Chinese, and the muzzie savages each work nonstop to align the world in their favor, the jug-eared Kenyan spends his time either on vacation, or pandering to black thugs, or attacking a radio entertainer.

Samantha Powers, newly owebuma appointed UN ambassador, wife of Cass Sunstein was MIA. Missing inaction might be an even better description...

Sleep, golf, personal trips, what does it matter....they're all more important than taking care of business.
