16. Left out Oliver North

Giving info to the enemy? He sold weapons to them. He was rewarded with a nomination to run for the Senate. It's a travesty this man was never tried for treason.

Obama sold weapons to our enemies in the Middle East, but somehow that's a "phony scandal." How do you figure that, DUmbass?

31. And to thnk that there are some on DU who would put Obama away for 35 yrs for his "crimes"...

35 years?! That's kiddie time compared to what I was thinking...

And these people you speak of are not majority on DU. They're the majority sane ones in Middle America.

They are in major panic mode to get the focus of the NSA scandal focus off Dear Leader, so they went to this. Yeah, I know Snowden and Manning are different issues, but the 100% Dear Leader worshippers want "NSA spying is a non-issue and let's move on" to reign and "Let's all gang up on Bush/Republicans" to be restored. Won't happen, but Lord Marblehead has his marching orders. No doubt the Dear Leader cult worshippers have been burning up Skin's inbox with demands that those who won't march in 100% lockstep be reprimanded and/or TS'd.

Snowden and Manning are identical issues.

They're both traitors who should face the death penalty.

Amen, in a perfect world both would swing by their necks until dead!

Unfortunately neither will.

To be fair, they are slightly different - one of them likes to leak data while wearing a pretty frock. That makes all the difference to a primitive.

All it would take is a picture of Snowden looking like Mrs. Doubtfire for the DUmmy poles to reverse, from "zero" to "hero".

Actually, so far at least, they're quite different.  Unlike Manning, Snowden's revelations were about the out-of-control unaccountable problems with an electronic/signals intelligence program run by ethically-challenged spooks in cubicles with computers, with nobody's ass actually on the line.  Manning compromised human intelligence operators and sources, some of whom may not be with us anymore (Either literally or as a matter of allegiance) as a result.

I think the NSA is as important to national security and defense as the Marine Corps, and NSA can get enemies thwarted or killed before any American boys have to put their lives on the line.

Snowden and the nuts who support him are trying to destroy that capability. It's a lot more dangerous than the wholesale democrat attacks on the CIA back in the 70s and 80s.

Snowden is the Aldrich Ames of his generation. I agree with General Hayden, who was head of NSA during W's administration:

"...it takes a special kind of arrogance for this young man to believe that his moral judgment on the dilemma suddenly trumps that of two (incredibly different) presidents, both houses of the U.S. Congress, both political parties, the U.S. court system and more than 30,000 of his co-workers."

Snowden doesn't have any moral judgment, he's simply an enemy of the United States.

The majority of the folks in Leavenworth are not traitors and they still believe in their country.  He will have to serve his term in solitary or he won't be making any sounds when he  gets out..

He'll probably dress as a woman for the rest of his life.  It's what he wants anyway.

North did nothing treasonous (D)icklicker.  In fact, I agree with everything he did.

Suck it.

I'd shoot him on the spot.  Remember the Saigon photograph?  The one that created a narrative that was 180 degree out from the truth like the typical leftist pap?

Yeah.  Just like that.  In fact, I can picture it, right now.

Thank-you sir, for sharing that beee-youtiful mental picture with me. I'm gonna hit the rack now, so I can dream about it in glorious technicolor.  :cheersmate:

Edited for a more likely outcome.

I don't think that will be the case. USDB is different from a civilian prison; they take the "Disciplinary" part of their name very seriously.

Manning will do his time without physical danger. If he comes out of prison with a size 11EEE asshole and herpes in the back of his throat, it will be by his own choice, and he'll have enough cigarettes to open a discount smoke shop.

That pretty much is the bottom line, isn't it ?

Though it is true they both leaked different intel, they both publicly leaked whatever data they could access. if Snowden wanted to be 'a whistle-blower', he could have brought the data to the proper authorities. Instead he chose to become an anti-hero.

Yes, Lord Marblehead. Justice. Do the crime, do the time. No crime, no time. That's the way it's supposed to work in the United States.

Hertz, donut?

Here's some more justice for you, DUmmy:

QFT.  In fact one of the USDB's major tools for controlling misbehavior by long-term prisoners (The ones whose dishonorable discharges have finally been imposed) is to transfer them over to the much-more-dangerous Fed pen right down the road, since once the discharge is done they are technically just Federal prisoners.
