Question... when does a war on terror ever end?
I can think of 10,000 ways it could keep continuing, but I can't think of a single way it could ever end. Will there be a day where the US gov can say... yup... no more terrorists. It's really a mind **** because anyone from any party for any reason can show evidence that something bad is still happening here or somewhere else.
Is the war on terror not a war at all but a way to drastically alter how things are done and how people perceive what reasonable is? Will I be sitting with my grand kids many years from now talking about what happened that day with the war on terror?
I brought this over here because I have always found this to be interesting.
The one thing that the left always seems to forget(?) is that the bad guy has a vote.

The War on Terror is no different from the War on Drugs, or the War on Poverty, or the War on Crime.
It's never-ending, it's just something a civilized country does, and how much emphasis it gets depends on the political climate of the moment.

I can see one. Ask Japan about it. Haven't seen them get too pissy in the last 68 years. Sadly no politician in America will have the nads to do that but it would put an immediate end to the terrorism that is the cult of islam.
We can drill through glass and the replacement of the oil infrastructure would be a huge boom to companies and people in Texas.

As it turns out I don't have the patience to find the link. The jist was that Japan (and Germany for that matter) were beaten so badly but treated so well after that there was some sorta sea change in their population. Also that this is something that the mideast needs to go through.
Not necessarily by US forces of course but perhaps among themselves. As I think about it though I am hard pressed to find a region that has suffered more from war then the middle east region.

Not total war. They have wars where thousands die on a fairly regular basis but go through a short one day war where tens of millions die and that mentality would end instantly. Plus take out the black rock in SA. Let them know that if a single church is burned a "holy city" will be a nuclear wasteland. muzzies only understand force, they are from the seventh century. Can't look at them as decent and civilized people. They are not I guarantee that a strike of a few tens of millions of muzzies wiped out in minutes and we would not have a problem with them for decades.
The leftists should be with this plan as the world's population would take a hit and mother gia would be spared some particularly virulent viruses.

Looks like somebody forgot their history lesson. We , as well as other countries have been fighting a war against terrorist for centuries. If they understood what Islam teaches about dealing with the non believers and infidels then maybe they would understand why terrorism exist today. I agree with Jukin. Find someone that would glass the ME and this crap would stop for a very long time.

This reminds me of Bob Beckel on The Five. He'll sit there and petulantly ask the other four, "When can this war on terror end?" As if it's up to them. "Never" they say, and he sighs and chuffs.

The War on Terror will end when Islam ends or when Islam conquers the world - the former would be victory, the latter defeat...I know which the DUmmies are pushing for.
