I think some woman at the Walgreens over here tried to hit my car on purpose.
I was stuck behind her in line, waiting for her to count out enough pocket change to pay for whatever she was buying. She left, I gave my items to the cashier, and paid for them. She was still sitting in her little car by the time I got back to mine, turned the key, and started backing out of my spot. I was already out of the space and in the lot when I saw her reverse lights come on so I start honking at her. She doesn't stop and reverses right into my car.
The first thing she yells is "I wanna see your insurance!".
As I'm headed back into the car for my information, she says, "You're lucky you didn't get me!". I told her I was already out of my parking spot and in the lot when she backed into me. She waved me off with a grump and drove away.
It was maybe 2mph. Enough to trade a little paint, nothing more, but I still feel like it was a setup. I should have gotten her license plate. Cheap blue Corolla being driven by a short, fat woman wearing too much perfume.

How short, how fat? Were you anywhere near San Diego? Are you sure that wasn't smoke you smelled rather than perfume?

What's her DU name?

 Okay, I should have seen that coming.
The whole episode was kind of sad and really obvious. But I really should have gotten her license plate.

I have a client that has been a paralegal for well over 20 yrs and now works for one of those "injury" lawyers that advertise on TV. She said it's amazing how many people are found to have deliberately caused an accident like yours today, just so they can sue the other person. She said the worse the economy gets the more it happens.
She must have seen there was not enough damage to bother....
There's a new commercial on tv here, for one of those ambulance chaser lawyers...actually it's a series of commercials. The point they are all making, is that there must be real and show injury, otherwise don't bother to call them! One of the commercials, is a bride who wants to sue, because she was having an outdoor wedding, and wants to sue the weatherman because it rained.

Since she backed into you, I don't think it was a scam; although there are a lot of them going on. But it sure sounded like she was in a hurry to get out of there.

The classic is when they take off at a stop light & suddenly slam the brakes on. My daughter had that pulled on her in Houston. A giveaway that didn't register at the time was the lady in front of her was looking in the rear view mirror a lot as she pulled away from the light. I've noticed people doing that but, since I'm careful in that situation, I guess they pass on me.

If she was in a hurry, she would have been gone by the time I got to my car after paying for my purchase.
