Oh my.
This campfire's somewhat old, but awesomely intriguing.
And boring too.

Over the years I have developed
A science fiction world, first for gaming, thing YA fiction, and then started rewriting the novels for a more adult thing. So was going over the files and realized that it was still not deep enough. So here I am further developing the world, all the way to towns and people and religions. This is down to the granular level, including essays and all that.
It is fun. But it is work.

4. Well I am adding a lot of present history
Into future history. Also using some of the worst trends as to a reason we leave Earth.
Adding some to the pseudo science behind the FTL drive, but also adding human colonies using much slower Gen Ships and solar sails.

2. Is it just science fiction (tech) itself or are you takeing an Anne McCaffrey approach?
As in adding some mystical creatures?
^^^in case anyone needs an update on this primitive; she was recently hired to work in a convenience store.
She's finished one book--still working on two more--and needs to find someone to do some "edioting" of it before she looks for an agent.
She still has fantasies of returning to that old grouch in Tucson; won't leave him alone. obsessed with him.

3. Just aliens with psychic abilities
And humans too.
Will drive a character nuts with it.

5. Well, I gotta thank Snowden
I was a tad fuzzy on how much people would accept a creepy police state in a democracy. I now realize my five year transformation was all but off.
Oh and reading all that crap will let me develop the ministry to the granular level.
Thanks kid...magnificent inspiration.
P.S. if the title doesn't make sense, well, it doesn't make sense to franksolich either.

Well that certainly was about as exciting as watching grass grow which makes me ask: Seen this one coach? Only a Dummy can have such a conniption fit over a lawn.

And it even has a post about 'free range chickens' eating the bugs off the lawn. :rotf:
Enjoy. I have to go fix the lawn mower to rattle the neighbors. Rain gardens are all the rage here this season. :fuelfire: Flowers are just pretty cultivated weeds.

This caught my attention for one reason.

They are trying to drive people away... long term... the arc of history is long, and it trends towards justice. This is not something these folks remember.
I think I just wet myself. :lmao: :rotf:

Maybe it would be better at the glandular level.

Well, she said she was rewriting the novels for a "more adult thing". So, she might have that covered as well. I shudder to think what Nads might regurgitate as a steamy love scene.

Oh, nads . . .

She will consult California pegs for that portion. I know that isn't any consolation...

The ghost of Martin Luther King is going to rise from the grave and bitch-slap gNads for misquoting him.

The arc of history isn't as long as the ark of the covenant.

"Granular" is her word of the week, like "meta" and "parenteral" before it.
She has no clue what it means, but it sounds really cool.

If that book reads like anything else she has ever posted it will be given to insomniacs as a guide to better sleeping.

I take it that you mean it will sell one copy, which will put it ahead of all of the others.
