Question for DU Experts - in the history of America

has any House of Representatives ever attempted to defund a bill that was passed by both branches of government, signed by the President, became law and then received the approval of the Supreme Court?

Is this merely sabotage or something else?

Are the loudest voices being paid hacks of health industry corporations?

Going to DU for an expert is like going to a bar to stay sober.

What difference does it make if congress passed the bill, the preezy signed it, and the SC allowed them to keep it? Doesn't make it right, doesn't make it a good bill.

What if congress the preezy and the SC all decided slavery was legal?

Hey DUmmie, go back to the 8th grade.  The Supreme Court is the third branch of government.

I can think of one example:  The Lautenberg Amendment has language in it which sets up a procedure within the DOJ to examine and grant requests for exception to its blanket prohibitions for good cause shown, however that use of DOJ funds has been specifically prohibited (i.e., defunded) in appropriations since enactment of the law.

Well the constitution says Congress shall fund the govt.  So if they chose not to fund something it would be "not funded" as opposed to defunded.  They are always looking for an angle.

What do you expect when even the leaders of their party don't know what the three branches of our government are?

From Chuck U. Schumer:
Quote
So I would urge my Republican colleagues, no matter how strongly they feel -- you know, we have three branches of government. We have a House. We have a Senate. We have a president. And all three of us are going to have to come together and give some, but it is playing with fire to risk the shutting down of the government, just as it is playing with fire to risk not paying the debt ceiling.

The democrat party is packed with dumb asses from top to bottom.

Besides, wasn't this monstrosity "deemed" through the House, only actually experiencing a vote in the Senate?
