Time for the quarterly poll, to gauge the effectiveness of the DUmpster.
Does the DUmpster affect the behavior of the primitives?
Now, of course since Skins's island is a giant whale compared with the mosquito-sized conservativecave, in theory the DUmpster should have no effect at all, on the primitives.
But I wonder.
Margaret Mead first noticed a peculiar phenomenon when studying the behavior of the peoples of the South Seas (in no way to be compared with the more-savage, more-barbaric, primitives of Skins's island)--that once they noticed they were being observed, they changed their conduct; they were no longer their natural selves.
Which is a good reason for the DUmpster to be a private forum, open only to decent and civilized people, but that's about as likely to happen as the earth upending itself on its axis.
To me, the primitives don't seem as uninhibited, as naturally themselves, as they used to be, and I miss that.

I say no. They are in a protected cocoon, and they forget the world is watching. Primitives are more mindful of Skinner's deletion of their more obvious threats than the DUmpster...and that's not saying much.
They may whine and complain, but they always revert true to form: the criminal insane.
The mask they wear is for each other. But being DU, the mask slips and the true face of evil slips out every now and then. Underneath the mask, they are debased and evil, full of murderous plans for all who oppose them. All they need is a leader to draw them from their basements. You might laugh but it IS possible. They will be the first to join the bloody purge and the last to die on the bayonets of the glorious revolution.
DUers want a Stalinist purge. They want to kill. The hate and rage that burns then will never be sated. Their souls are as black as night. They hide this as all good socialists will, but ever since Bernard Shaw, the desire to kill is a fundamental platform in the socialist religion.

Well, but surely you've noticed that when certain primitives have been flung out into the light for all to see, they soon thereafter clam up, or disappear altogether.
About the only exception's been the cousin, who seems indefatigueable.

That's only because nads is not sane.
and bottom line, DUers are not sane. Thats why they rack up thousands of posts on a nowhere site. Only Skinner and repeated visits by the secret service have kept the threats down.
--a few may be lucid enough to see the light and leave, but the insanity of the dregs of the left will keep DU right where it is, unable to change even under the clinical light of scrutiny.
Its why they are so dysfunctional their own side will kill them after they serve their purpose.
The same insanity that affected so many of Hitler's officers has a safe home in the Left today.

Hokay, I'm saying 'not sure.' Mr. Mann hit it on the head--they do want a Stalinist purge, and that's one of the reasons (if not the main one) they hate the 2nd Amendment as much as they do. They know that, if one were to start, it would very easily be turned back around on them, and it would be damned near impossible to stop. They put on their 'airs' in the DUmpster, but deep inside, they're little members of both the NKVD and Hitler Youth rolled into one.

I said "yes a lot" based upon my belief that if we have any effect at all, even the smallest bit, it's too much. They should ignore us and say what's truly in their blackened hearts rather than cleaning it up in case the public reads it.

It seems to me that their driving motive is to be accepted as special people. I find the majority of primitives to be profoundly "special".
