This is the kind of electorate we are dealing with. We're not even talking about the fine points of the law, we are talking about the October 1st deadline for the states and the January 1st opening of the health insurance exchanges.

Considering that your vaunted federal gubmint hasn't exactly been doing a bang-up job of informing the electorate about the finer points of this cluster****, and that the people who voted for it don't even know what's in it, and all the confused batting back and forth of when this provision starts and that one stops and so on, I'm surprised any one can make sense of it.

I'm just hoping that between my current private carrier and whatever whittled-down V.A. bennies I still have I'll still be covered at a level equal to what I've had all along. At least until some liberal decides I'm not "equally miserable" enough for their tastes.

This thing is going to fall flat on it's face.

I don't see any young unmarried people buying it until they need it.  This is also going to drive even more businesses to operate "under the table".

Anybody else see the pics of the big obamacare meetings that were held all over the country on Dear Leader's birthday?  Massive, cheering crowds, eager for info and a pen to sign up.  Just kidding, one venue had a participant of exactly one, others had around five.  Even Steve's thread got no recs and only 2 replies.

Think of it this way.  The whole system--the 'free-market' solution to the Left--is supposed to fail.  They're going to go to any length to make sure that their solution does exactly that.  They figure that the American people will clamor for a solution, and the Dems can come in and say, "We'll make it all single-payer," and poof(ter)!  The entire US medical system is changed forever (or at least until the next civil war).
